Without huge rainfalls in March, a desert superbloom of wildflowers is unlikely this spring, experts say. Only an inch of rain has fallen in Borrego Springs since last fall, which will limit blossoms. That stands in stark contrast to last spring, which brought a spectacular flower display to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and attracted huge crowds of bloom-seeking tourists.
