Noah Centineo’s XO Kitty Season 2 Cameo Is A Major Relief After To All The Boys' Ending 4 Years Ago

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for XO, Kitty season 2!

Four years afterTo All The Boys’ ending, XO, Kitty season 2 includes a cameo by Noah Centineo, providing an update about Peter and Lara Jean that’s a relief. While some viewers found XO, Kitty separate from its predecessor, many fans carried over from the To All The Boys movies, which focused on the love story between Kitty’s middle sister – Lara Jean – and her boyfriend – Peter Kavinsky. Though the movie trilogy provided a satisfying conclusion, the movie still left some questions about their future as a couple open-ended.

Consequently, franchise fans hoped to find answers about the Song-Covey family. XO, Kitty season 1 provided very few updates about the family outside of Kitty. This understandable approach allowed the show to stand alone from the movies. However, XO, Kitty season 2 added characters, including two cameos from the original story – Janel Parrish’s Margot Song-Covey and Noah Centineo’s Peter Kavinsky. Luckily, Peter provides necessary updates about his relationship with Lara Jean.

Peter Kavinsky Confirms He & Lara Jean Are Still Together In XO Kitty Season 2

Peter & Lara Jean Have Survived In A Long-Distance Relationship

When Peter visits Kitty in XO, Kitty season 2, he asks Kitty if she can help him get a surprise for Lara Jean from the store. The pair are still together, and the way he speaks about her makes it obvious that he’s still head over heels for her. While Kitty implies this when talking about the couple in the first season, it’s exciting that Peter confirms it onscreen.

The lovestruck young man cares enough about his girlfriend to get her a gift that she’ll love, which is the best alternative to seeing both him and Lara Jean in XO, Kitty. This shows forethought and affection. The fact that he’s buying her pens and stationery implies that they’ve continued writing letters and notes to each other, as promised at the end of To All The Boys: Always & Forever.

Since Peter asks Kitty for help with a surprise, she asks what kind of surprise, implying that it could be a proposal. He replies with, “It’s not a ring. Geesh, we’re 22.” However, the tone in his voice and the look on his face imply that he’s at least thought about it, even if it’s not in the near future. The XO, Kitty timeline also points to a major change for the duo.

When Peter visits in season 2, he and Lara Jean are in their final semester at college. After four years of long-distance, Peter and Lara Jean might finally get to live in the same place again after graduation. Whether he proposes or not, it’s clear that great things are in the future for Peter and Lara Jean Song-Covey. Hopefully, future seasons of XO, Kitty will continue to update fans on the endgame couple from To All the Boys.
