Highlands Preserve, a 222-acre park in New Jersey’s Passaic County that was once a failed country club and is now undergoing improvements to turn it into a hiking hub, debuted a new bridge this week. The structure improves access to the preserve’s 5-mile trail network, which in turn links to the State Line, Jeremy Glick, and Appalachian Trails.
