When The Event Starts & Ends In 2025

Players will be able to take part in the Beloved Buddies event from its start date of Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time. Beloved Buddies will run for almost four days until Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 08:00 PM local time. "Local time" means the event will start and end at the exact time specified, no matter where you are located geographically.

Beloved Buddies also has various bonuses for participating, most notably getting 2x XP when catching any Pokémon. During Pokémon GO's Beloved Buddies event, you will find large amounts of certain Pokémon that will spawn more often in the wild, including Nidoran, Remoraid, and Mantine. This selection is based on Pokémon who have buddy pairings, like Minun being available with its partner, Plusle. All of these Pokémon, including both male and female versions of Nidoran, can be Shiny. The event won't increase the Shiny encounter odds, but you might find one with enough trial and error.
