Pokémon Reveals Official Art for 2025 World Championships, With Low Rider and Retro Theme
Pokémon is going to SoCal for its next Pokémon World Championships. Over the weekend, The Pokémon Company hosted the 2025 Pokémon Europe International Championships (EUIC), its annual international tournament featuring Pokémon trainers from across the globe. As with other Pokémon tournaments, the Pokémon EUIC featured major competitions for the Pokémon video games and the Pokémon card game, with popular Internet personality Wolfe Glick emerging victorious in the Masters video game tournament.
To close out the competition, Pokémon revealed additional details about the Pokémon World Championships. The event, set to take place from August 15th to August 17th, will be a special invitation-only competition to determine the top trainers across multiple games.
The Pokémon Company revealed a first look at the special artwork for the event, featuring Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Machamp, and several other Pokémon going on a road trip to California in an "electrifying" yellow convertible. Additionally, The Pokémon Company will open up spectator ticket registration next month, with interested fans signing up to be entered into a random lottery.

When & Where To Watch Pokémon Presents (February 2025)
February's Pokémon Presents is gearing up to be one of the biggest news drops of the franchise, but when will it start and how can it be watched?
In addition to the competitive aspect, the Pokémon World Championships have also become a spectacle for casual Pokémon fans. In addition to a pop-up Pokémon Center, the event includes several meet-and-greet opportunities and ways for casual fans to get involved. There's also a pop-up Pokémon Center featuring exclusive merchandise. All of these combine to create one of the biggest world events for Pokémon, with events getting bigger every single year.
Our Take: Love The New Pokémon Artwork
Artwork Captures Excitement Of Upcoming World Championship Events
The new key art captures the SoCal atmosphere perfectly and also adds a low-key level of excitement about the upcoming event. I'm also looking forward to the Pokémon merchandise featuring these Pokémon, including Varsity Jacket Pikachu. The art is heavily featured at the Pokémon World Championships, so we can expect to see these Pokémon everywhere when the World Championships kick off in August. Plus, those who can't go to the event can enjoy some of the festivities on Twitch and virtually.
