Poker Face Season 2 Release Window Revealed Alongside First-Look Images

Poker Face season 2's release window has been revealed alongside several first-look images. Created by Rian Johnson, the writer and director of Knives Out, Peacock's case-of-the-week murder mystery series stars Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cale, a casino worker on the run with an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. Poker Face season 1 – which featured several notable guest stars such as Adrien Brody, Hong Chau, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt – was nominated for four Emmy Awards, including for Lyonne's lead performance with Judith Light winning for guest actress.

Now, the second season has received a release window and several first-look photos. Per Peacock, Poker Face season 2 will premiere in the spring of 2025, while the images show Natasha Lyonne's Charlie Cale alongside several high-profile guest stars – including Katie Holmes, three Cynthia Erivos, and John Mulaney. The first-look images showcase how Poker Face season 2's line-up of guest actors will be just as star-studded, or perhaps even more so, than season 1's. In addition to the aforementioned actors, season 2 will also feature appearances from Awkwafina, John Cho, Giancarlo Esposito, Corey Hawkins, Gaby Hoffmann, David Krumholtz, Melanie Lynskey, Margo Martindale, Kumail Nanjiani, Katherine Narducci, B.J. Novak, Ego Nwodim, Haley Joel Osment, Simon Rex, Sam Richardson, Alia Shawkat, Method Man, and Justin Theroux. Though the image only shows Erivo as three characters, the Oscar-nominated Wicked star will actually be playing Sextuplets.

Poker Face's case-of-the-week format hasn't been more intense than the murder mystery in Poker Face season 1, episode 9, "Escape from S*** Mountain."

The images also reveal a few of the locations that Charlie Cale, still on the run in her 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, will visit throughout season 2. Some of those settings include an alligator farm, a minor league baseball game, a funeral home, a big box retailer, and a grade school talent show. For season 2, Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne (who each directed an episode) took visual inspiration from 1970s cinema – including the work of Robert Altman, Bob Rafelson, and Peter Bogdanovich – though the show's primary inspiration remains classic case-of-the-week shows such as Columbo, The Rockford Files, and Quantum Leap.
