As reported by X (formerly Twitter) user @MangaMogura, Rent-A-Girlfriend mangaka Reiji Miyajima confirmed that there will be a "happy announcement" on March 5, 2025. Unfortunately, that is all that was revealed, which by itself doesn't leave much room for speculation. Furthermore, it wasn't confirmed whether this news pertained to his hit rom-com or any of his other manga, which increases the possibilities of what this news could be about. With a new season of Rent-A-Girlfriend on the way and the manga gradually approaching its end, the upcoming news will be interesting.

While the manga's ending might not be the happily-ever-after fans hoped for, the conclusion of Chizuru and Kazuya's long and tumultuous relationship is something that every fan would want to witness.

The manga was confirmed to receive an anime adaptation beginning in April 2025, courtesy of Doga Kobo, the studio behind Oshi No Koand Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. The series has not received much news for quite some time, so now is the perfect opportunity to either reveal a new trailer for the season or give additional information about the manga and its future.
