Running Point Cast & Character Guide

Netflix's Running Pointhas an excellent and diverse cast of characters. Netflix's new comedy premiering February 27, 2025, Running Point is about Isla Gordon, the only daughter in a large family. The Gordon family runs the Los Angeles Waves basketball team, something Isla has always wanted to be part of. But her family ignored Isla despite her unwavering love and ambition for basketball. However, after a scandal that forces her brother to resign, Isla unexpectedly becomes president of the team. Now, Isla has to prove herself to her brothers and the industry.

Running Point has an impressive cast featuring various actors of different backgrounds. The showrunners—Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen—gathered talented actors to portray these eccentric and compelling characters. In Running Point, Monterroso Mejia portrays Ana Moreno, Jackie Moreno's cousin. She is an intelligent and career-driven injury lawyer.

Roberto Sanchez as Stephen Ramirez: Roberto Sanchez is a Cuban actor who has appeared in a plethora of TV shows, including Arrested Development, Desperate Housewives, The Young and the Restless, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Criminal Minds, ER, Prison Break, Bones, Castle, Chicago P.D., and The Resident. He has also appeared in multiple NCIS and Law & Order shows. Sanchez began his impressive career in the 1990s, and his first big role was in 2 Fast 2 Furious as Roberto. Sanchez plays Stephen Ramirez in Running Point, the head of the Los Angeles Waves board.

Scott Evans as Charlie: Scott Evans was born and raised in Massachusetts, United States. Similarly to his older brother, Chris Evans, Scott Evans became invested in acting at a young age. Evans' first big role was in the soap opera One Life to Live​​​​​​​ as Oliver Fish, but he has appeared in many other TV shows and movies since then. Netflix has been tight-lipped about Scott Evans' role in Running Point, but Deadline revealed he will portray Sandy Gordon's secret boyfriend, Charlie.

Uche Agada as Dyson Gibbs: Uche Agada's biography is one for the ages. After graduating from high school in New Jersey in 2020, he discovered an advertisement from basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo: Disney was looking for young Black actors to portray Antetokounmpo in a film about his life. Since no prior acting experience was required, Uche Agada sent in a tape, and he ended up securing his breakout role in Disney's Rise (via Forbes). Running Pointis only Agada's second acting project, where he will play Dyson Gibbs, a new basketball player intent on proving himself to his new team.
