Sabino Canyon Shuttle Could Be Closed for Months

A dispute about the concessionaire who runs the shuttle is to blame.

The Sabino Canyon shuttle service will be suspended as of June 30, and the closure could last for months, officials at the Coronado National Forest announced this week. The Forest Service is withholding issuing a permit to a new shuttle operator pending an appeal about the permit decision. Sabino Canyon National Recreation Area itself remains open.
