Shanghai-Venice air route comes into service

With some 230 passengers onboard, a direct service between the cosmopolitan East China city of Shanghai and the north-eastern Italian city of Venice officially began operation on Sept 26, flown by Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines.

Operating every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, the journey lasts 13 hours, from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Venice Marco Polo International Airport.
