Sister Wives: Janelle's "Detox" Goals Are Red Flags That Her Past Is Still Hurting Her (Signs She's Got Issues She Has To Resolve)
Sister Wives star Janelle Brown's social posts indicate she's still struggling to come to terms with her past and hasn't moved on. She first considered practicing polygamy when she was in her 20s. Janelle met her ex-husband, Kody Brown, in the 90s and became part of his family. Initially, she enjoyed being in a plural marriage, raising six children with her ex-husband, and maintaining a positive attitude while being an independent working woman. Janelle also found peace in sharing her husband with her Sister Wives, Meri and Christine Brown.
Janelle was part of the Brown family for nearly two decades and loved it until she began to feel the negative effects of polygamy. She noticed that Kody showed favoritism towards his youngest wife, Robyn Brown, which made her feel unfairly treated compared to her sister wife. Janelle encountered significant challenges with Kody during the COVID-19 pandemic, causing her to reevaluate her beliefs about polygamy and decide to end her spiritual marriage. In 2022, Janelle left Kody to focus on her personal goals and children. She started working on her own business and became more independent than she had ever before.
Janelle Wants To "Detox" Her Mind, Body & Spirit
Janelle Lost Her Son, Garrison, In Early 2024
Kody's other wives, Christine and Meri, quickly moved on after their breakups with Kody.
Christine lost weight and began dating again. Eventually, she found David Woolley, who she's now married to. Meri also moved on and started dating other people. She adopted a pet dog, reinvented herself, and launched a new business called Worthy Up. Unfortunately, Janelle hasn't reset her life like Meri and Christine. She's still dealing with the aftermath of her split from Kody and several other tragedies that affected her. Janelle hopes to physically, emotionally, and spiritually detox in 2025.
Before leaving Kody, Janelle faced various personal issues during the COVID-19 pandemic due to her living situation. The mother of two experienced significant stress when Kody asked her to have their sons moved out, a request which she declined. Following her divorce, Janelle struggled to find her new purpose and began focusing on her fitness, resulting in weight loss. However, she appeared less cheerful compared to her fellow Sister Wives. In March 2024, Janelle tragically lost her son, Garrison Brown. It wasn't until January she confirmed her goal was to move on and "detox" herself in every aspect.
Janelle Is Detaching From Relationships That "Drain" Her
Janelle Is Determined To Separate Herself From Toxic Relationships
Several of Janelle's relationships drained her, so it's understandable that she wants to detox and detach herself from such people to create a more positive future for herself.
Janelle desires to emotionally detox herself, prioritizing meaningful connections and seeking a better community. She aims to establish "healthier boundaries and release relationships" that drain her, like the one with Kody, and potentially make new personal and professional friends who can support her during this time. Janelle aspires to be part of a community that can help her flourish, similar to what Meri and Christine found when they left Kody. (via TLC ).
Janelle's Growing A Business To Move Forward
Janelle Has Launched Her Own Clothing Line
Janelle's next major goal is to expand her businesses.
Over the years, she has implemented several new ideas and has taken some bold steps to stay busy with work, proving she is not only beautiful but intelligent. Previously, the Sister Wives cast member became involved in a gut health community and accompanied her friend, Christine, in promoting a weight loss supplement, claiming it was the key to her transformed health. Janelle also established Strive With Janelle, a health coaching service aimed at inspiring and empowering people to become their best versions.
Most recently, Janelle launched her newest business, Taeda Farms, which provides flowers in her area of North Carolina, spreading positivity and happiness. The Taeda Farms website also features a merchandise store for interested buyers. Through Taeda Farms, Janelle aims to grow personally and help others succeed. In late 2024, Janelle also launched a clothing line, Janelle Says, where she sells quirky T-shirts featuring iconic dialogues from Sister Wives, spreading humor among her fans. Janelle's new goals showcase that she's on the right path and will eventually move on from her past, like her fellow Sister Wives, Christine and Meri, have.
