Sister Wives: Robyn Brown’s Victim Mentality Is Rubbing Off On Kody Brown (She’s Not Happy About The Change)
Sister Wivesstar Robyn Brown has been showing off her victim mentality throughout the series, but it’s finally rubbing off on her husband Kody Brown and she’s not happy about the change. Throughout Sister Wives season 19, Robyn has been sharing more about her feelings surrounding Kody’s splits with his original trio of wives. While Robyn was never exactly close to Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, or Meri Brown, their absence has changed her life considerably and ruined the illusion of plural marriage she was trying to project in her life. Robyn and Kody’s behavior has shifted this season, especially Kody’s.
After years of trying to play the victim in her own life, Robyn’s actions have appeared to catch up to her in several ways. While Robyn has been doing everything she can to ensure that Sister Wives viewers and her own family believe that she’s the one losing everything when she’s the only wife left in the family, Kody has been doing a lot of overt peacocking on screen. While he’s been sharing that after losing Meri, Janelle, and Christine he felt a sense of betrayal he couldn’t explain, Kody’s been playing the victim in a way Robyn must envy.
Robyn Brown’s Always Had A Victim Mentality
She’s Tried To Make Herself Look Weak
As Sister Wives has continued on, it’s been clear that Robyn has been trying to make herself out to be the victim in every way possible. From the moment she entered into the pre-existing plural marriage without much care that she was taking apart a family that was already functioning for her own gain, Robyn tried to make herself seem like less of a villain. Whether it was Kody not spending enough time with her when he was already spending more time with her than the other wives or her kids not getting enough attention, Robyn’s always been the problem.

He’s Attempting To Take Over Robyn’s Victim Edit
Although Kody has been struggling with the way Robyn is treated and has recognized that sometimes her victim mentality pushes others to treat her poorly, throughout Sister Wives season 19 it’s become clear that he’s following her playbook. Kody has made it obvious that he wants more sympathy for his choices and circumstances, whether he deserves them or not. Making choices that emulate Robyn’s, he’s been sharing more of his feelings on Sister Wives in a ploy to defend his behavior, ignoring the consequences of his actions.
While Kody has consistently been the most culpable villain on Sister Wivesand in the Brown family in general, he’s taken to sharing his feelings and hoping that viewers will take pity on him. Kody seems to feel that sharing his feelings, no matter how difficult they may make him seem, should push others to feel empathetic toward him. What he doesn’t seem to realize, however, is that he’s in control of what he’s doing, which means others likely won’t feel bad for him when he chooses where he is.

She’s Not Thrilled With Kody’s Performance
Despite Kody and Robyn having been on the same page about many of their more diabolical decisions in the past, they don’t appear to be standing in solidarity about Kody’s search for sympathy. While Kody has been looking to be the victim in the eyes of Sister Wivesviewers, Robyn hasn’t been interested in giving him sympathy from her end. Robyn’s made it obvious that she understands what Kody’s doing, but the Sister Wives star hasn’t been interested in giving Kody her role as the villain. Instead, Robyn has been taking more of a backseat while Kody implicates himself.
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
