Solo Leveling Delay Announced Ahead of Season 2's Impending Finale
Fans of Solo Leveling Season 2—Arise from the Shadow—just received a sad update as the English dub for episode #5 has been delayed. On the official X site for the anime adaptation of the Manhwa Solo Leveling, it was reported that the broadcast of the fifth episode of the second season would be pushed back a week.
Crunchyroll's dub for Solo Leveling has become the go-to version for viewers who preferred the quality performance of Aleks Le as Sung Jinwoo, as he has embodied the hunter's growth as he gains strength in the story. So, although the idea of more suspensions in the following weeks could be upsetting, the fact that it is only one week and that it will not affect the schedule for the season has calmed fans' concerns, since the episode will air in conjunction with episode six on Saturday, February 22, 2025, on Crunchyroll.
Delay of Solo Leveling Season 2 English Dub Could Prove to Be a Good Thing
The Upcoming Episodes Showcase a High Point in Sung Jinwoo's Power Journey
Even though the Dub version doesn’t reveal its schedule in advance, thanks to the announcement on the Solo Leveling official X account, fans won't be disappointed after meaninglessly expecting the episode to drop. Also, despite this delay, the English dub release of Solo Leveling Season 2 has delivered its episodes faster and with more consistency than other Crunchyroll animes. Since its premiere on January 18, 2025, the production team for the second season of the English dub of Solo Leveling has followed the same schedule as during Season 1, releasing episodes each Saturday with a two-week delay compared to the subbed simulcast.
While this schedule gives fans the same experience of looking forward to Saturday, it also shares the unbearable wait after a thrilling cliffhanger, which is the case for Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 5, which ends after teasing a fierce battle for Sung Jinwoo. This way, with episodes five and six releasing at the same time on the streaming platform Crunchyroll at 9:30 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST), fans of the English dub will have a better watching experience as they can watch them back to back and won't have to wait a week to know what happens next.
Solo Leveling English Dub Will Shortly Release the Best Episode of the Season So Far
Solo Leveling Episode 18 It’s the First of the Series in Breaking the Internet
As seen in Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 4, Jinwoo wants to experience what happens inside an A-Rank dungeon to test how he stands in power to face a top-tier boss with his newly gained strength, so it isn’t a surprise that the upcoming episode will showcase the exciting action and tense atmosphere that fans love in Solo Leveling. Moreover, Solo Leveling Season 2, episode 6, “Don’t look down on my guys,” was so anticipated by fans that it crashed Crunchyroll and multiple anime pirate sites upon its release due to the number of viewers.
The episode also contributed to Solo Leveling surpassing Jujutsu Kaisenand becoming one of the top-rated animes on Crunchyroll. This means that fans are in for a treat to the eyes with Sung Jinwoo’s next fight, so just another week of waiting is a fair price to pay.
