As Sung Jinwoo's journey continues, the low-rank hunter continues taking on more fearsome monsters, leveling-up as he goes, and his most recent venture into a Red Gate dungeon has begun to spark debate in the anime-watching community.
Just as Jinwoo and Baruka were getting set to fight, the Red Gate dungeon boss went on a tangent about how the hunter is no more human than the monsters he kills. Dissatisfied with the Ice Elf's ramblings, Jinwoo asks who exactly Baruka is, and why he and the other monsters are so bent on killing humans. Before an answer can arrive, however, the elf appears to freeze, glitch, and rewind, prompting fans to question the nature of Solo Leveling's dungeons.

The moment of the rewind that censored Baruka from revealing too much information was a sort of 'blink and miss it' moment in Episode #14. The last few seconds were repeated, Sung Jinwoo noted that it was weird, and then the fighting commenced. While the series protagonist might not have given much thought to the moment, fans of Solo Leveling's anime have been wondering just what happened to the dungeon during that scene and why.

The details of the game which Sing Jinwoo has become part of are still largely mysterious, and what fans have enjoyed as a unique power system appears to be far more nefarious than anyone expected. The 'glitch', as Baruka was just about to reveal key information regarding monsters and humans, was very clearly the act of someone who did not want that information shared. But if someone has the ability to meddle with reality itself inside a gate, it raises questions about dungeons as a whole.

Season Two's opening episodes have showcased Igris' immense strength, and have added another fearsome shadow to his army in Iron. Alongside Jinwoo, the three were able to easily defeat the boss of the Red Gate dungeon without much of a sweat, despite the rather inhumane tactic the protagonist used to gain the upper hand. While there may be a mysterious presence behind a curtain, pulling the strings, it might not matter if Jinwoo's powerful army continues gaining numbers.
Solo Leveling's second season has been everything fans have wanted and more, stealing the spotlight of the anime world while breaking records on popular streaming services. The series still has a lot of story left to tell, and will be making an early challenge for anime of the year so long as its high quality persists.
