Southern Charm: Worth Green's Cause Of Death- What Happened To Taylor Ann Green's Brother?

Southern Charm star Taylor Ann Green's brother, Richard Worthington "Worth" Green, suddenly passed away in the summer of 2023, and there are questions about his cause of death. Viewers met Worth for the first time during Southern Charm season 9 with an overwhelming feeling of sadness. Everyone knew Taylor and her family were about to go through the most challenging time in their lives in just a few months during this episode of one of the best reality TV shows. Nonetheless, it was nice to see Taylor feeling the support from her family and brother. Taylor has returned for Southern Charm season 10, despite the previous season weighing heavily on her and her family.

In June 2023, Taylor confirmed her brother Worth had died. Taylor never spoke too much about her family on Southern Charm, as the show has mainly focused on her tumultuous relationship with ex-boyfriend Shep Rose. However, when she did, she always spoke so highly of them. Family means everything to Taylor, so the passing of Worth shocked her. Taylor's brother's death came just months after her costar Olivia Flowers' brother, Connor Flowers, died. It was then confirmed he passed away from an accidental fentanyl overdose.

Worth's Cause Of Death Has Yet To Be Revealed

In June 2023, Taylor confirmed her brother Worth had suddenly passed away. She posted a sweet tribute to him, talking about how amazing of a person he was and how grateful she was to call him her brother. However, Taylor never mentioned Worth's cause of death in her Instagram tribute. No media outlets or Taylor herself have confirmed Worth's cause of death since. It was postulated Taylor would reveal his cause of death during the Southern Charm season 9 reunion, but she didn't.

Will Southern Charm Speak On Taylor's Brother's Death?

Southern Charm season 9 didn't touch Taylor's brother's death since filming for this season wrapped around the springtime of 2023. Worth passed away in early June, so filming was completed long before his passing. Southern Charm has missed the chance to comment on Worth's passing, so it remained private.

The Southern Charm cast had much to deal with in the last year. Two cast members lost their brother just months apart from each other, and they were both very sudden and tragic. Like Olivia, Taylor is still dealing with the loss and is having a rough time coping. Despite the sudden loss, Taylor seems to be doing a lot better on Southern Charm season 10.

How Taylor Is Dealing With Her Brother's Death On Southern Charm Season 10

Taylor spoke briefly in last week's episode regarding the passing of her brother Worth. Taylor went to lunch with her mother, where they discussed her upcoming 30th birthday. She had plans for a special themed party with the whole Southern Charm cast; however, Taylor canceled the party last minute. There was no explanation as to why it was canceled, but Craig Conover decided to invite everyone over to his home since they still needed to film. Taylor canceling her party wasn't shocking as the lunch she had with her mother was very emotional for her from start to finish.

During the outing, the mother-daughter duo discussed Worth and his passing. The mother talked about how he would've been so excited to see Taylor turn 20 as he threw her a surprise party back when she turned 27, and it wasn't even a milestone birthday. Worth loved celebrating birthdays and loved Taylor even more. This conversation was tough for Taylor to be in, and she was visibly emotional throughout the entire conversation with her mom. Right after this outing with her mother took place, it was revealed Taylor decided to cancel her party. It's clear Taylor was too emotional to celebrate.

Taylor is still dealing with the death of her brother, Worth, and is still grieving. At the time Southern Charmseason 10 was filmed, it hadn't even been a year since his passing. Hopefully, Taylor will celebrate her 30th later in the season.
