Water supply experts reported this week that the snowpack in the Olympic Mountains was 119 percent of normal this year–good news for municipal water supplies, irrigation, and adequate river flows for salmon. But meteorologists cautioned that climate change will mean less water overall in future years, despite this year’s numbers.
