At the time, they were working to build careers as public figures, but their financial circumstances weren't great, and they were living on credit cards.

Everything changed when ABC cast Joey in Dancing With The Stars season 33. He and Kelsey moved to Los Angeles where the dance competition films in front of a live studio audience. Joey shocked everyone by proving himself to be an excellent dancer. After Joey and his professional dance partner, Jenna Johnson, win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, Joey and Kelsey decide to move to LA for good. Thankfully, heroic firefighters were able to get the flames under control, so Joey and Kelsey went back home. Kelsey posted a TikTok in which she thanked the firefighters and encouraged people to help in any way they could. Though Joey and Kelsey's new home survived the Los Angeles wildfires, many weren't so lucky.

They've Built New Lives There

Despite the recent wildfires, Joey and Kelsey appear to have no intention of leaving Los Angeles. In fact, Joey was in The Hollywood Rose Parade, which is a Los Angeles New Year's tradition. Joey was hired to be a Rose Parade reporter for ABC and posted the photos to Instagram. The Bachelor season 28 alum got to report on the parade for a major television network, which is a big deal.

Kelsey joined Joey for the event, and they appeared to have a great time exploring Pasadena together.

In his post, Joey thanked ABC and ESPN for the opportunity, writing, "It was amazing to get my first opportunity to be on the other side for Live TV and I hope there will be more of that in the future." Clearly, Joey and Kelsey are very happy in Los Angeles. Despite how scary the fires must have been for The Bachelor couple, they're staying in the City Of Angels for the time being.
