"The Man Deserves A Break": Stardew Valley Fans Think ConcernedApe Is Long Overdue For A Vacation After Working Tirelessly

Fans of Stardew Valleybelieve that solo developer ConcernedApe needs to take a long vacation after all the hard work he has put into bug fixes and patches. It is no secret that ConcernedApe is extremely attentive to his highly-acclaimed cozy title, Stardew Valley. The solo dev is constantly releasing updates, patches and fixing errors to ensure players are happy with their gaming experience.

A recent Reddit post from acnh_mustard has garnered a lot of attention after stating that they feel bad for ConcernedApe. The dev had previously mentioned that once update 1.6 in Stardew Valley went live, he would be taking a bit of time away to focus on his other upcoming title, Haunted Chocolatier. Since then, however, it feels like he has been dealing with bug after bug, crash after crash, and not getting the time off he deserves, according to fans.

Stardew Valley Fans Think ConcernedApe Is Hard At Work On Bug Fixes

This Solo Dev Is A Powerhouse

ConcernedApe is a powerhouse when it comes to throwing out bug fixes at lightning speeds and is known to even put in work on major holidays to keep players happy. Though fans are more than grateful for the attentiveness, they also believe that he deserves some time off. Commentor perfect_fifths writes, "He works so hard for us, I hope CA gives himself a vacation after HC comes out. I hear Ginger Island is nice this time of year."

Comments poured in on this Reddit thread, agreeing with the fact that ConcernedApe does so much for his community and puts a plethora of both love and passion into the game. Other fans are a bit concerned for the dev, with commenter ViolettNova stating, "I honestly hope he hires someone else for bug fixes so that he doesn't get burnt out for HC."

While the likelihood of ConcernedApe getting burnt out is most likely slim, it is a possibility, and the Stardew Valley community wants nothing but the best for him. While bugs are a normal part of video game development, they can be quite tedious to find --- especially when you're flying solo like ConcernedApe.

Our Take: ConcernedApe Works So Hard To Make Stardew Valley The Best It Can Be

It Is Clear The Developer Loves What They Do

Stardew Valley is a cozy gem in which many players find solace and peace. Though game development isn't always easy, ConcernedApe makes it look so simple with the amount of dedication and time he puts in every day. There are so many small Easter eggs to find, relationships to build, and places to explore in Stardew Valley that it is baffling to know that a single person was capable of such work.

While ConcernedApe may not take a vacation any time soon, I can agree that he does deserve some time off after all of his hard work and dedication. In the meantime, players can enjoy all that Stardew Valley has to offer and look forward to the bug fixes that are currently being worked on for the Nintendo Switch patch issues.
