According to Variety, a new mobile game called The Masked Singer: Mask Mania has been released, in which players attempt to beat 50 levels of gameplay and win the Golden Mask Trophy. Fans can choose from five Masked Singer characters as of the launch date. In a statement, executive producer Craig Plestis claimed that the new game "adds another level of creative family fun" to the franchise, and it will take The Masked Singer "to the next level." He added that after playing the game throughout development, "I'm completely obsessed and hope our fans will be too!"
The Masked Singer (via Variety) also shared an announcement video for the game. In the teaser, The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon told fans to download Mask Mania. "Play as your favorite Masked Singer characters and unmask all the bubbles to win," Nick explained, adding that the app is free to play, though players can purchase power-ups to help them advance in the game.

It's not shocking to see that a show like The Masked Singer has released a fun mobile game to complement the show, though it's surprising that they waited this long to come out with one. It's not a unique concept; those types of mobile games have been around for years, though this is the first time there's been a Masked Singer-themed one.

If the Mask Mania game stays the same as it is right now, there's not much there to encourage fans to play, aside from being able to play as your favorite character. That's why, as mentioned earlier, I really think they should consider incorporating The Masked Singer season 13 in some way, whether that's bringing the new costumes into the game or even adding clues for the new characters that only the game's players will see. Only time will tell if Mask Mania finds success in the app stores, or if the game's developers find unique ways to keep players entertained.
