The Masked Singer Season 13: Coral Identity & Clues

WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT THE MASKED SINGER SEASON 13!The Masked Singerseason 13 contestant Coral placed third in the competition and was revealed to be actress and singer Meg Donnelly. The Masked Singer season 13 welcomed back host Nick Cannon, along with panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. During the finale, Gretchen Wilson (Pearl) took home the Golden Mask Trophy, while Andy Grammer (Boogie Woogie) placed second, Meg placed third, and Brian Kelley (Mad Scientist Monster) placed fourth.

The Masked Singer season 13 also unmasked eleven other incredible contestants, including Cedric the Entertainer (Honey Pot), Oscar De La Hoya (Fuzzy Peas), Aubrey O'Day (Ant), Scheana Shay (Bat), Flavor Flav (Space Ranger), James Van Der Beek (Griffin), Candace Cameron Bure (Cherry Blossom), Method Man (Stud Muffin), Erika Jayne (Yorkie), Matthew Lawrence (Paparazzo), and Edwin McCain (Nessy). As Meg took her place in Masked Singer history, here are all of the clues that proved that Coral was really her.

Only Rita Guessed Meg Correctly

During the Masked Singer season 13 premiere night, the panelists had many great guesses for Coral's identity. Robin stated that her story made him think of Bebe Rexha, but, when he heard the voice, he thought that she might've been Carly Rae Jepsen. Ken said that he was having trouble guessing Coral's identity, but he mentioned Sabrina Carpenter. Rita said that Coral had a really clear, crystal pop tone to her voice, and that, plus the clues, made her think of Halsey.

During Shrek Night, Rita guessed Anna Kendrick for Coral's identity, but then she changed her mind and mentioned Dove Cameron. Jenny disagreed and thought that Coral was Hailee Steinfeld. Robin said that the name that came to his mind was Lili Reinhart. During Rat Pack Tribute Night, Robin guessed that Coral was Victoria Justice, while Jenny mentioned Rachel Zegler. Rita had another guess, which was Camila Mendes.

During Lucky 6 Night, Jenny guessed that Coral could be Rachel Zegler again, while Ken mentioned Selena Gomez. Robin thought that she might be Brittany Snow. During the quarter finals on Soundtrack of My Life Night, Rita guessed that Coral was Hilary Duff. Ken mentioned Ashley Tisdale, while Robin started to think that she might be Nina Dobrev, and Jenny liked his guess the best.

During The Masked Singer season 13 semi-finals, Rita thought that Coral might be Meg Donnelly, Kylee Russell, or Sofia Carson, while Ken mentioned Peyton List. Jenny once again guessed that she was Hailee Steinfeld. Coral Spoke About Being Rejected In Her Career

During the Masked Singer premiere night, when Coral first came out on stage, Robin said that she had swag, and Jenny added that she was graceful. Coralsang a mystical version of "Mad World" by Tears for Fears. At the beginning of her clue package, Coral met her costume for the first time. She gushed that it was so pretty and sparkly, and that she couldn't wait to wear it.

Coral said, "The Coral costume is so majestic, but she's also got these hard, tough edges, the kind that's strong and resilient. And that's why I relate to her." Coral was then shown sitting at a blue desk under the sea. She hammered on a model of a white house with an American flag flying in the front. This clue referred to Meg starring as Taylor Otto on the sitcom American Housewife from 2016-2021, beginning at the age of 16. Coral then shared, "Ever since I was young, I dreamed of being a star. I asked everyone, 'Please, please, please let me sing for you!' But, for eight years, it was rejection after rejection."

As Coral sank to the bottom of the ocean, she passed by a bubble with a computer screen with a broken heart displayed on it. This could be a reference to Meg's song, "Digital Love." Coral then continued to fall, saying, "I was this little girl struggling through the madness of the industry." As her feet reached the ocean floor, Coral said, "Just as I was about to give it all up, a small victory turned into my voice being heard across the globe."

Coral Told Her Own Love Story

During The Masked Singer season 13 Shrek Night, Coral sang a phenomenal rendition of "Accidentally in Love" by Counting Crows, which was featured in Shrek 2. In her clue package, she revealed that the Shrek character that she related to the most was Donkey because "we both love to yap and have zero filter." At that point, a spider came down from a web next to Coral, and she screamed.The spider referenced Meg's role as Scream in a 2020 episode of the animated series, Spider-Man.

Coral went on to say, "So, when a spell was cast, and I met this leading man I thought was totally cool, just like Donkey did with Shrek, I forced him to be my friend." Coral was shown reading a comic book titled, Adventure of Coral that had a picture of herself and a male Coral on the cover. Meg starred as Mary Campbell in the fantasy drama series The Winchesters, where she met her current boyfriend, Drake Rodger, who played John Winchester. The comic book referred to her voice roles as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in Legion of Super-Heroes and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths trilogy.

Coral then picked up a photograph of the male Coral and said, "But then I started to notice his strong confidence and grit made me feel safe, and I think he secretly started liking all my dumb jokes." She then blew kisses to the photograph. Coral continued, "It was pretty predictable what happened from there. Yep, we accidentally fell in love. Okay, so not exactly like Donkey and Shrek - more like Fiona and Shrek, but, you get the point."

At that moment, a howling werewolf was shown. The werewolf was a reference to Meg's most famous role as Addison Wells in the Disney Channel Zombies movies because Zombies 2 and Zombies 3 feature werewolves. Coral concluded her clue package by saying, "So, tonight, this is for my handsome ogre. My tall drink of swampwater. My Shrek."

After her performance, another clue was given about Coral. It came in the form of a fairy tale storybook titled, "Coral and the Silver Screen." Coral explained, "Well, with a little magic and a lot of hard work, you too can sing and dance on the silver screen." Meg sings and dances in the Zombies movies.

Coral Spoke About Her Beloved Dad

The Masked Singer season 13 Group A finals on Rat Pack Tribute Night kicked off with a spectacular performance of "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra, sung by Robin Thicke and the three finalists--Coral, Paparazzo, and Ant. Coral later sang a sensational rendition of "Luck Be a Lady" by Frank Sinatra, which incorporated some hip-hop beats at the end. She also danced along to the music.

Before Coral's clue package began, Nick revealed that she had a very strong connection to the Rat Pack and its era. Coral began her clue package by saying, "Made it to the Group A finals! I'm dead! And especially for Rat Pack Night because their music really reminds me of my dad." A picture of an older male Coral was then shown. Coral's comment, "I'm dead!," was a reference to her role in Zombies, although her character is human.

Coral continued, "Growing up on the East Coast, I have the best memories of the two of us driving down the shore, playing old Mickey Blue Eyes and Sammy Davis Dr., while I dreamed of being a big headliner, just like them." As she said this, she stood in front of an SUV, holding a music player. Meg was born on the East Coast in New York City on July 25, 2000, and grew up in Peapack-Gladstone, New Jersey.

A school ring was then shown, which said, "CLASS TMS."This ring represented Meg's recurring role as Val in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. In addition, the Zombies characters are in high school. Coral was then shown in front "Red Studios Hollywood," where The Masked Singer films.

Coral went on to say, "But when I moved from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and I finally got a shot at stardom, I was like this shy girl, thrown right into the deep end of a whole new world."A ghost figurine was then shown. This could be a reference to her role as Young Jacklyn in Celebrity Ghost Stories.

Coral continued, "I was so lonely, and terrified I would never fit in. Except there was this one guy who helped me through it all: my dad. He joined me every day on set and would tell me the funniest dad jokes to cheer me up. He made life on this new coast feel like home."A flying saucer was then shown because there are aliens in Zombies 3.

Coral concluded her clue package by saying, "So, tonight I'm singing our favorite song. Love you, dad. Because of you, I truly am the luckiest little lady in the world." As she said this, Coral fanned herself with a hand of playing cards, and then threw them in the air.

Coral explained, "Well, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere."As a child, Meg appeared as a featured vocalist in Kids of the Arts, Broadway Kids, and Time To Shine productions in New York City. At this point, Rita noticed that there was a letter Z made out of eels on one of Coral's boots. The letter Z represented Zombies.

After the audience and panelists voted, Paparazzo automatically advanced to the Lucky 6, while Coral and Ant competed for the other spot in the Battle Royale. They each sang their own unique versions of "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. Before panelists voted, Detective Lucky Duck appeared with a clue. He said that both Coral and Ant "have both been on chart-topping, number one albums." The Zombies soundtrack reached number one on the Billboard Kid Albums chart and remained there for ten weeks. Ant was then unmasked and revealed to be Aubrey O'Day, while Coral advanced to the Lucky 6.

Coral Revealed A Connection To Demi Lovato

During The Masked Singer season 13 Lucky 6 Night, Coral sang a spirited version of "Ain't It Fun" by Paramore. She began her clue package by saying, "I'm having the time of my life being here. Performing is something I've been wanting to do more of, so getting this chance has been awesome. You guys have been guessing some of the biggest pop stars in music, but--big spoiler alert!--I can do more than just sing. In fact, you know me from a huge franchise."The franchise is Zombies, which has had many sequels, along with an animated series, all of which starred Meg as Addison. She was also featured as Addison in a 2025 episode of the animated series, Chibiverse.

Coral then revealed another major clue about herself as she said, "And here's a colossal clue to dive into." It was Anonymouse, who was Demi Lovato. Demi and Meg are both Disney stars.

The Masked Singer season 13 quarter finals on Soundtrack of My Life Night began with Coral and her fellow Top 5 contestants--Boogie Woogie, Mad Scientist Monster, Nessy, and Pearl--singing a fantastic rendition of "More Than a Feeling" by Boston. She later sang an awesome version of "Sk8er Boi" by Avril Lavigne.

Coral began her clue package by saying, "I mean, the soundtrack to my life is Avril all the way, baby! So I'm here to throw it to my favorite skater boy, and he's probably yours too!" Coral's co-star and BFF then took over her clue package, giving clues while masked and with his voice disguised. He said, "Man, Coral's come so far since we joined forces six years ago. I'll never forget when we first met. It was during a huge audition, and we were both so nervous." He then held a bouquet of lilies. Meg made her movie debut playing Lilly Kelly in the 2017 independent film The Broken Ones.

Coral's co-star continued, "We had to do a chemistry read, and part of that was us having to stand really close together and literally just staring into each other's eyes before the scene. So awkward! But something really special happened in that moment - we became instant BFFs, and we both got the parts that changed our lives together." The semi-finals consisted of head-to-head rounds, during which Coral battled it out with Mad Scientist Monster. Coral sang a gorgeous and emotional version of "What Was I Made For" by Billie Eilish, while Mad Scientist Monster sang a crowd-pleasing version of "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" by Shaboozey. Mad Scientist Monster advanced directly to the finale, while Coral later competed with Boogie Woogie in the Smackdown.

Coral began her clue package by saying, "I am so pumped for a battle. I mean, I'm the youngest left in the competition. And, I'm actually one of the youngest ever to get this far. So, there's only one thing left to do. And that's wipe the floor with this crazy old scientist."Meg is 24 years old.

Coral added, "Yeah, I'm definitely still finding my sea legs in Hollywood. But, being here has shown me that I'm finally where I belong, living out my pop star dreams. And that's why I want to keep going. The Masked Singer season 13 finale began with Rita and the final four contestants--Coral, Boogie Woogie, Mad Scientist Monster, and Pearl--singing an exciting version of "Pink Pony Club" by Chappell Roan. Coral then competed with a magnificent version of "Moon River" by Audrey Hepburn.

Coral began her clue package by saying, "As a little girl, I had those Audrey-Hepburn-Breakfast-at-Tiffany's dreams. Staring at the old Hollywood movies from the other side, wishing one day to be just like the glamorous stars in them. And, my wish came true. I became a part of one of the biggest franchises of all-time. And, now, there are little girls watching me! It's so surreal." This was another reference to Zombies.

Coral continued, "But I didn't want it to just stop there. For years, I was trying to release my music. To be a pop star. But people weren't listening. They just thought of me as that girl from those movies. And The Masked Singer is the perfect place to come when you've got something to prove [giggles]."

Coral concluded by saying, "Here, I was given the opportunity to show that, hey, I am a triple threat. I've grown so much since I've started this. I've found my confidence. I've found my range. And I've even found that I can do it all in knee-high boots! Now, tonight, I'm dreaming about that trophy. And winning it would take me over the moon."

After Coral's performance, another clue was given about her identity, which was a surprise phone call from her dad. He said, "Hey, kiddo. It's dad. Coral became emotional during that phone call. She said, "I'm so surprised. No, that was my dad. That's crazy. It means so much. Coming on this show, like I just wanted to be more confident in my singing and performing. So that just means the world. And my dad and mom are like my biggest supporters, so, oh my gosh!"

After the first audience and panelist vote, Meg was eliminated from The Masked Singer season 13. Her most meaningful clue was revealed from her Crack the Case Clue Case, which was a cheerleading uniform. Coral explained, "This uniform changed my life and gave me the ability to chase my dreams! And now people cheer for me! I love you all so much! Thank you so much!"Meg's Zombies character, Addison, is a cheerleader.

As Coral, Meg's enchanting performances helped her to advance to the finale of the Masked Singer season 13, during which she floored everyone with her dazzling performance. She proved herself to be a captivating singer, with a lot of star quality. She concluded her run on the show with a triumphant unmasked rendition of "Ain't It Fun" by Paramore.
