The MCU's Avengers Vs X-Men Fight Theory Comes To Life In Avengers: Doomsday Art
New Marvel Cinematic Universe art sees the Avengers battle the X-Men in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. As The Multiverse Saga is nearing its end, Marvel Studios is finally working on Avengers: Doomsday, with multiple familiar faces coming together for the massive Phase 6 movie. Following Marvel Studios' surprise announcement that several classic X-Men actors are reprising their roles, fans are eagerly looking forward to seeing what they will look like next to the Avengers.
Production is currently in motion for the Phase 6 installment, as filming on Avengers: Doomsday is set to start very soon. In the meantime, the talented artist Dipankar Talukdar shared new MCU artwork where they pitched what an Avengers vs. X-Men showdown could look like under Marvel Studios. Following the official announcement, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed in a message at CinemaCon 2025 that they are not done announcing cast members for the film. With that in mind, whether or not that means more X-Men actors are set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday remains to be seen.
What The Avengers Vs X-Men Art Means For Avengers: Doomsday
While Fox's X-Men universe had a rocky journey, it doesn't negate the fact that the franchise played a crucial role in the growth of the superhero genre. For many fans who have followed the X-Men movies since then, there has always been a big interest in seeing these versions of the characters eventually share the screen with the Avengers. Following the Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement, it's no surprise that passionate audience members want to see whether or not they will finally get their Avengers vs. X-Men showdown, hence why fans are already putting art pieces of them together.
However, whether Avengers: Doomsday is actually staging an Avengers vs. X-Men fight remains to be seen, as Marvel Studios hasn't revealed any specific plot details yet about how the mutants will be factored into the story. Although knowing Marvel Studios and their past homage to the X-Men films, it wouldn't be shocking if they did provide at least some variation of the Avengers and X-Men having at least one big fight before eventually becoming allies. But for the time being, fans will just have to keep speculating about a hypothetical Avengers vs. X-Men war.

After seeing the incredible Avengers vs X-Men artwork, it's clear it would definitely be fascinating to witness these two teams getting to have at least one major clash, as long as there are valid story reasons behind it. Since Avengers: Doomsday - and Avengers: Secret Wars, for that matter - will likely be the final time many of these actors play their respective Avengers and X-Men characters, The Multiverse Saga would be the proper time to do Avengers vs. X-Men through the MCU lense. Hopefully, more details on the X-Men in Avengers: Doomsday will start to emerge sooner rather than later.
