The Traitors US Season 3’s Danielle Reyes Accused Of Revealing Identity To A Faithful (And Producers Are Finally Breaking Their Silence)

Tensions have been high on The Traitors US, and with rumors swirling that Danielle Reyes revealed herself as a Traitor to Britney Haynes producers are setting the record straight. The Traitors US season 3 has been tumultuous, with Traitor-on-Traitor crimes occurring nearly every week. After being banished, Carolyn Wiger did interviews claiming she suspected Danielle had broken the rules and told her fellow Big Brother housemate Britney that she was a Traitor. This act would completely undermine The Traitors and also break agreements the cast has with production. It would be unprecedented and would frankly, ruin the show for viewers.

The Traitors producers broke their silence after Carolyn claimed Danielle broke a major rule on the show.

In an interview with Variety, executive producers Sam Rees-Jones and Mike Cotton revealed that they don't believe any rules were broken on Danielle's part. When questioned, Mike immediately shot it down, saying, "I find that theory mad, if I’m honest. We listen to absolutely everything that happens in the castle. We’re with them 24/7, they’re either filming or in their rooms. There was never a moment where any of us ever heard Danielle reveal to Britney or whoever else that she was a Traitor. Also, that would be an absolutely crazy move because you’re then out of the game."

Mike also confirmed that cast members sign paperwork that restricts them from revealing their identities throughout the course of The Traitors. As he explained, "They sign a lot of paperwork, and the Traitors sign their own oath and agreement with us. There’s lots of things like that, but there was never a moment that we heard when anyone revealed their identity and, honestly, it wouldn’t make any sense."

It's a wide open field over who will emerge victorious on The Traitors US, but on her post-elimination press tour, Carolyn has been openly accusing Danielle of breaking the rules of the show, so it's understandable that producers felt the need to speak up. Carolyn's theory proves that The Traitors has gotten to the point where there are no rules and there's no control. Watching Traitors openly try and eliminate other Traitors is unheard of for The Traitors, as those particular players are supposed to be working as a team. Instead, this season's Traitors have been each other's biggest enemies.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

However, it only adds to the appeal. This is one of the most exciting seasons of The Traitors ever. The producers are very open about the fact that they can't control things that happen on the show, such as who gets eliminated first, and that makes it really exciting to watch. Carolyn going rogue in her exit interviews is further proof that producers can't control all aspects of the show. But, when necessary, the producers will step in to clarify when rumors get out of control.

Our Take On Carolyn Accusing Danielle Of Breaking The Rules

Carolyn & Danielle's Beef Is Real

Carolyn and Danielle did not have the easiest time working together as Traitors. They battled for power, openly threw each other under the bus, and seemingly tried to sabotage each other's chances of winning the show. While they both knew ther other was actually a Traitor, that isn't always the case. The Traitors pits contestants against one another, and finding out that someone you trusted is actually a Traitor can cause heartbreak.

In the end, it's all for the sake of entertainment. There shouldn't be any hard feelings, but the way Carolyn is going after her in the press means the former is absolutely holding on to hard feelings against Danielle. Onscreen or off, it seems Danielle and Carolyn won't be friends anytime soon.

The Traitors US streams Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on Peacock.
