Two people died from falls on the same day in separate incidents at Sequoia National Park, the park reported this week. One was a 29-year-old New Jersey man whose body was discovered about 2,000 feet below his ice axes on the Mountaineers Route up Mt. Whitney. The other was a hiker who slipped on ice and slid off a cliff on the Watchtower section of the Lakes Trail.
