Wednesday Season 2 Clip Reveals The Whereabouts Of Surprise Villain Tyler
An eerie new clip is revealed for Wednesdayseason 2. The debut season of Tim Burton's Addams Family adaptation was released to critical acclaim in late 2022. After a long wait, viewers will finally get to see what will happen to the dour protagonist and her friends and family asseason 2 comes out this year. Wednesday season 2's cast will feature familiar faces like Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, and Hunter Doohan, while also including new stars like Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Lady Gaga, Noah Taylor, and Thandiwe Newton.
Now, Netflix Tudumhas released a new clip for Wednesday season 2. The clip begins with an establishing shot of the Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital. The scene then cuts to the interior, which is tinted with deep blue lighting. The titular protagonist stands across from a person chained up to the wall. The person is revealed to be Doohan's Tyler, who has a terrified look in his eyes as he peers up. Check out the clip below:
What This Means For Wednesday Season 2
Willow Hill Will Be A Key Location
Thisclip establishes where Tyler is after the Wednesday season 1 ending. After taking an interest in Wednesday, Tyler becomes the surprise antagonist of the premiere season after he is revealed to be The Hyde, a sadistic killer who must obey Laurel Gates. He survives the events but is taken away from Nevermore Academy in an armored vehicle. Now, the clip makes it abundantly clear that Tyler was taken to Willow Hill as a result.
By using the Willow Hill location to promote season 2, Netflix is implying that it will be a critical setting in the sophomore season. Wednesday may split her time between Nevermore and Willow Hill, as she confronts this past villain directly. This could be an interesting way to change the momentum forseason 2, which may leave Nevermore more than season 1 did.
Our Take On This Wednesday Season 2 Clip
Tyler's Arc Will Be Fascinating
This Wednesdayseason 2 clip is enticing enough to draw viewers in but still leaves a lot of mystery. Given that he is in chains, Tyler may not be treated the most humanely in season 2, but the exact nature of his character's role remains up in the air.
Wednesday could, for example, feel compassion for Tyler since he was being controlled by Gates, or she could seek to eliminate him. The clip denotes where Tyler is, but his season arc is still intriguingly dubious.
