Welcome To Plathville’s Olivia Plath’s Allegations Against Ethan Plath Are Too Serious For Her To Stay On The Show (I Want Her To Leave For Her Own Safety)
Welcome To Plathvillestar Olivia Plath may be separated from the Plath family, but after the difficult allegations she made against Ethan Plath, she should leave the show as a measure of safety and security for her future. Olivia, who was married to Ethan throughout the first five seasons of the series and got divorced during Welcome To Plathville season 6, has been doing her best to be upfront about her experiences with the family. While Olivia and Ethan's marriage may have seemed happy from the outside, Olivia is alleging that things were far more difficult than she let on.
While Olivia didn't go into hyper-specific detail, she did share more about her experiences with Ethan and allegations of abuse that seemed par for the course throughout her relationship. Ethan and Olivia's inability to connect was a consistent part of the series, even after they removed themselves from the rest of the Plath family toward the end of their relationship. Sharing that she didn't feel safe around Ethan, it was clear that Olivia had a hard time continuing to be around her ex-husband or the rest of the Plaths, primarily Kim Plath, who she greatly struggled with after their marriage.
Although Olivia has every right to remain on Welcome To Plathville, it seems like the right move to take a step back.
Olivia Made Serious Accusations Against Ethan
She Called Out His Allegedly Abusive Behavior
After sharing that it was the two-year anniversary of her divorce from Ethan on Instagram with a powerful message that implied she'd been through some serious harrowing times, Oliviasaid she didn't "have the power or legal clearance to expose...what I experienced" but wanted to provide as much information as possible. After receiving words of encouragement and support from her followers, Olivia chose to open up in a second post, one that documented her experiences more clearly. Sitting down to speak candidly to her camera, Olivia's video was shocking.
While Olivia was upfront about the fact that she knew some weren't going to believe her, she outlined the claims of domestic violence and abuse she had against Ethan, some of which didn't look like traditional claims. Olivia explained that Ethan's anger had been difficult to manage, and while he didn't get physically violent with her, he would threaten violence towards herself and those around her. Ethan would allegedly engage in dangerous practices, like driving recklessly to scare Olivia or locking her out of their home to lead her to beg him to let her back in.
Olivia’s In A Much Happier Place Post-Split
She's In A Happy, Healthy Relationship
Although Olivia's claims about Ethan's behavior are unsubstantiated, her descriptions of his behavior seemed both possible and terrifying. While she experienced such a difficult time in her relationship with Ethan, her life after divorce had led her to a much happier place. Though Olivia has been keeping a lower profile, her relationship with Brendan was introduced during the last season of Welcome To Plathville, and she seems to be very happy with the way things are going. Olivia's reinvented herself post-divorce, and her honest, vulnerable presence online has been incredible to see.
Olivia Should Leave Welcome To Plathville To Protect Herself
She Doesn't Need The Show To Define Her
Although Olivia has every right to remain on Welcome To Plathville, it seems like the right move to take a step back. While Welcome To Plathville season 7 will likely reveal a lot more drama for the Plath family, Olivia's relationship with them is over. After the allegations she made about Ethan, I think it's the right move for Olivia to leave the show, separating herself from Welcome To Plathville and the Plath family as a whole. Keeping herself safe and sound should be her top priority, and I don't know if Olivia can do that on the show.
