West Town Proposes More Bike Lanes, Wider Sidewalks on Chicago Ave

Chicago Department of Transportation plans to discuss a proposal to make Chicago Avenue safer for cyclists and pedestrians this year.

A new report out of West Town proposes adding bike lanes and widening sidewalks along parts of Chicago Avenue, one of the most dangerous corridors in the city. A Chicago Department of Transportation representative said the proposal would be on the group’s discussion agenda this year.
