What Happened To Danny Zureikat After Below Deck Mediterranean Season 1?

Danny Zureikat made his TV debut on Below Deck Mediterranean season 1, and unfortunately for him, the season was also his last. The Bravo reality TV show has grown in popularity since 2016. It followed the staff of a luxury motor yacht, Ionian Princess, as they catered to their rich guests while giving fans a taste of the drama on board. Captain Mark Howard was at the helm of the yacht and took the yachties through Greece, with Hannah Ferrier as Chief Stew. Among the crew, Danny was a crowd-pleaser but left the show midway until he made an appearance in the final episode of the season.

The bubbly Danny knew how to make his guests feel at home, but he got carried away while getting a bit too familiar with someone. Danny had even received a warning from Captain Mark about drawing boundaries with the guests. Danny was breaking quite a few rules on the show, which eventually led to his dismissal. Danny got into arguments with crew members and became enemies with deckhand Bobby Giancola, and even Hannah. However, things got out of hand when Danny was caught flirting with model and guest Morgan. Danny wrote a poem for Morgan and shared a kiss with her only to be sent packing.

Danny No Longer Works In Yachting

Perhaps the worst thing Danny could have done was show photos of the women on board to the other guests. It was Hannah who’d discovered him doing it, and Captain Mark showed Danny the door. During an interview with BravoTV in 206, Danny admitted he was “at a loss for words” when he was handed his plane ticket. However, he did respect Captain Mark’s decision. The Captain had advised Danny to explore a career outside of yachting. Danny explored more of Greece and headed to work on another yacht in the Caribbean with Below Deck star Aleks Taldykin.

Danny worked as a "freelance deckhand/engineer" in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a while, but at the same time, Danny was open to opportunities in the Film and TV industry. Apart from having an associate degree in Computer Networking Systems, Danny had a past in modeling. In July 2018, Danny tweeted that he had worked “one of the toughest yacht charters” he had worked. It may have also prompted Danny to try and fulfill his dream of launching an acting career.

Danny Lives In LA & Trying To Work As An Actor

Danny has, so far, worked on several small-scale acting projects, according to his IMDb profile. His last gig was in a short film called Loveday. It's about a lead singer from a popular band who gets abducted by a cult. Danny later turned to Cryptocurrency. His Instagram bio revealed at the time that he was a “Crypto Investor & NFT Collector.” Danny also tried to make a career as a life and health coach. His Below Deck Med stint; however, has gotten Danny several followers on social media, including TikTok, which he is now leveraging to boost his online fame.

What Is Danny Up To In 2024?

Danny has been pretty quiet in 2024. Since his appearance on Below Deck Med over eight years ago, Danny hasn't been as active online as he used to be. Nonetheless, the former reality star did offer an update in August on his Instagram. Danny posted a photo on August 14 of himself in a pool in Punta Cana, República Dominicana, geotagged. He was likely there on vacation. Danny wrote in his caption, "Living life one wave at a time." Danny no longer has any sort of job listed in his bio, except for his credit as a cast member in Below Deck Med season 1.

After Danny shared this recent photo, many Below Deck Med fans wrote in the comment section regarding his return to the social media platform. Many spoke about how good he looks and how they are happy to see Danny back on Instagram. One person even said Below Deck Med should have him back for another season. However, since Danny is no longer working in the yachting industry, this seems unlikely. Danny wouldn't want to return anyway, as he looks happier since leaving the show.

Danny will unlikely return to the Below Deck franchise after appearing in Below Deck Med season 1. His time aboard the Ionian Princess was marked by clashes with crew members, always prioritizing guest interactions over his duties on deck and ultimately getting fired by Captain Mark. Since leaving the show, Danny has moved on from yachting and pursued a career in acting and content creation, as mentioned previously. He has occasionally referenced his time on the show in interviews and social media but has shown no interest in revisiting the experience.

While Below Deck has brought back former cast members before, Danny’s exit was controversial, making a return unlikely. Given the series’s higher standards for professionalism, producers might hesitate to reintroduce Danny, who was remembered for breaking the rules. However, the Below Deck franchise thrives on drama and surprises, so while a return seems unlikely, it’s not out of the question. Bravo is known to revive past personalities if the viewers demand a compelling narrative.

While Below Deck Mediterranean season 1 was the only and final season Danny would appear in, he made quite an impression on viewers. Danny also hasn't spoken about his time on the show in a while, so it's likely he wants to move on from his deckhand and reality TV days. Maybe Danny will one day return for a Below Deck reunion special like they have in the past.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
