What's Next For Angela Deem After 90 Day Fiancé? (Is There Any Truth To Rumors She's Been Fired?)
90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem’s futureafter her split with Michael Ilesanmi is looking messier than ever. Angela and Michael began dating in 2017 ahead of them filming Before the 90 Days season 2. Angela and Michael, with their 22-year age gap, had to deal with a lot of differences when it came to trust issues, communication problems, and Angela’s inability to have a baby. Michael stayed with Angela only as long as he could get a visa and come to America. For this to happen, he had to defy Angela’s toxic personality and mistreatment.
Angela didn’t think she was being abusive towards Michael. She was lashing out at him whenever she suspected he was cheating on her or lying to her. Even after Michael came to the U.S., Angela believed he was there for the wrong reasons, despite her private investigator clearing Michael’s name of any wrongdoing. Angela’s intuitions were somewhat right because Michael did leave her and ran off to Houston within two months. Michael breaking up Angela put their reality TV career in jeopardy, possibly ending it all.
Why 90 Day Fiancé Fans Think Angela Has Been Fired?
Has Angela's 90 Day Fiancé Career Ended?
Angela has claimed she hasn’t been fired from the franchise. However, fans have noticed clues suggesting the franchise doesn’t want her back on her show. The biggest clue was Angela removing the show’s name from her Instagram bio. She was also not featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 until the season was almost over. The show seemed to want to wean viewers off Angela and Michael’s storyline until the Tell All which is where Angela was shown talking about Michael’s disappearance.
Essentially, Angela had successfully spoiled the entire season for fans when she reported Michael missing in February. It was a bad move on her part because Michael informed the authorities he had left on his own free will, and Angela ended up sabotaging her career. She doesn’t want to share screen space with other cast members. In May 2024, she declared she wouldn’t come back to the franchise unless they gave her a spin-off.
Angela Has Hinted At A Netflix Documentary
Will Angela Become A Netflix Star?
In December 2024, Angela took to Instagram to suggest she had snagged a Netflix documentary that would chronicle her split with Michael and her life outside of 90 Day Fiancé. She captioned it, “All I can say is this lmao #THEREALONEWINS #queenofreality #queenofme #Netflix” The video, reposted from her TikTok, looked like a joke at first, but there have been rumors about Michael starring in a Netflix documentary called “Surviving Angela” and the Georgia woman seemed to be fueling the fire. Angela replied with laughing emojis when a fan asked her when they could stream her Netflix special.
Angela Has Been Doing Talk Show Appearances
Angela's Back On Maury
Angela has kept herself busy lately by filming some major talk shows, even returning to her roots by being invited by Maury Povich for a special. OfficialMauryShow posted a clip from her recent appearance on a new series called Maury’s Most Memorable Guests: Where Are They Now? Angela was the first guest on the show, probably because she’s the only person who’s achieved this level of stardom after yelling her lungs out on two episodes of Maury before her 90 Day Fiancé debut. Previously, Angela was also seen on The Drew Barrymore Show in June 2024.
Angela Wants To Go To Hollywood
What Will Angela Do To Make Money Now?
Angela declared that she believes Michael no longer has a chance of returning to 90 Day Fiancé because he’s a troublemaker. She doesn’t believe the same theory applies to her as well. Angela has been keeping herself busy by attending fan meet-and-greet events, which seem to have become a major source of income for her now. Angela also had dreams of making it big in Hollywood, so it seems she has charted out a plan. However, Angela has also been occupied with her legal case against Michael. Getting him deported is the only thing on her mind.
