Where Can You Watch The Twilight Series And Is It On Netflix, Hulu Or Prime?

The TwilightSaga is one of the most popular franchises the entertainment industry has seen Twilight movie. While vampires had been portrayed as romantic figures before Stephanie Meyer's breakout series of teen fantasy books, going back to Bram Stoker's Dracula, the author offered a very different spin on the creatures with her massive hit, Twilight. The Twilight books and movies follow Bella Swan, a teenage loner who falls in love with the mysterious Edward Cullen, who hides a shocking secret: he and his family are vampires.

Unlike traditional vampires, they only drink animal blood, and their skin sparkles under the sun. The Twilight novels were a massive hit, so it was no surprise that they got film adaptations, with Kristen Stewart playing Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson bringing Edward Cullen to life. Although the Twilight movies weren’t a success with critics, they were a hit with fans of the novels and have now become part of pop culture. The Twilight Saga has an understandable sense of nostalgia, making the franchise worth revisiting (along with the involuntary comedy in many scenes).

Where To Stream The Twilight Movies

All The Twilight Movies Are Now On The Same Streamer

Each book in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series got its movie adaptation, but the final novel, Breaking Dawn, was divided into two movies. That said, the Twilight Saga is formed by a total of five movies, chronicling Bella and Edward’s romance from the moment they met to their wedding and becoming parents. Thanks to the popularity of the Twilight Saga, all movies are available to stream, and they often switch to new streaming services every few months. Here’s where to currently watch each Twilight movie:

Based on Stephenie Meyer’s book of the same name, Twilight follows Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who falls madly in love with Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), who she soon finds out is a vampire. Falling in love with her at the same time, Edward and Bella must overcome obstacles to preserve their forbidden relationship.

Twilight follows Bella Swan as she moves in with her father, Charlie, to Forks. As Bella does her best to adapt to a new place, lifestyle, and school, she is instantly intrigued by the mysterious Edward Cullen, who seems to not like her. Edward eventually confesses to Bella that he and his family are vampires, and though that puts Bella in great danger, she chooses to continue by his side.

When the first movie was released, it took the world by storm as there were midnight movie releases that rivaled the excitement surrounding the Harry Potter franchise at the time. The success of the first film at the box office meant the rest of the franchise would definitely continue on screen.

It's this movie in the franchise that ultimately kicked off the Team Edward vs Team Jacob debate.

It's this movie in the franchise that ultimately kicked off the Team Edward vs Team Jacob debate. The debate has become more nuanced over time, examined as more than a vampire vs werewolf debate, but instead, whether it's better to find new love with someone a person does not know, or fall for one's best friend. New Moon makes it seem like both options could happen for Bella, though she doesn't really see a romantic future with Jacob when she realizes Edward is still in the picture.

In the third chapter of Stephenie Meyer's phenomenal Twilight series, Bella Swan is surrounded by danger as Seattle is hit by a string of murders and an evil vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, Bella is forced to choose between her love, Edward Cullen, and her friend, Jacob Black — knowing that her decision may start another war in the ageless feud between the werewolves and vampires.

Eclipse is widely regarded as the best book in the Twilight series, and the movie adaptation did a good job of bringing the action to life. When Victoria and her army of newborn vampires threaten to kill Bella, the Cullens and the werewolves make a temporary alliance to keep Bella safe – and as expected, this only makes the Edward/Jacob rivalry even worse, with Bella trying to maintain peace on both sides.

The most controversial part of this movie actually happened behind the scenes.

The most controversial part of this movie actually happened behind the scenes. Rachelle Lefevre was originally cast as Victoria and appeared as the vampire in small scenes in the earlier movies. When it came time to film Eclipse, she was already working on another project, though she was committed to making both work. The Eclipse producers decided not to work around her schedule and hired Bryce Dallas Howard to play Victoria instead. Both actors approach the role of Victoria differently, and both are great in the part, but fans were not happy to hear about recasting at the time.

The fourth film in the Twilight film franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, sets up the finale for the adaptation of the popular book series. Following the wedding of Edward and Bella, the two are soon with child, but its unnatural rate of growth begins to threaten Bella's life, as well as strike fear into the hearts of the wolves. However, a greater threat marches ever closer for the residents of Forks.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 saw the long-awaited wedding of Bella and Edward, as that was the only way Bella could become a vampire. However, Bella got pregnant on her honeymoon, but a human carrying a human/vampire child can be deadly.

This fourth movie in the franchise marked another controversial step by the studio as the decision was made to break it into two films.

This fourth movie in the franchise marked another controversial step by the studio as the decision was made to break it into two films. many young-adult-oriented franchises have employed a similar tactic to get as much story onto the screen as possible - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, for example. The source material for the movie is a single novel, but with so many loose ends to tie up and so much action, the book becomes two movies in all of those major franchises.

What's Known About The TV Adaptation

It Is Coming To Netflix

Twilight New Moon Bella and Edward
Twilight New Moon Bella and Edward
Custom image by Ana Nieves.

After the news broke that Max is making a new Harry Potter series to re-tell the stories from the movies for the small screen, Netflix plans to do something similar for The Twilight Saga. However, instead of making the movies into a series and telling the same story, Netflix is adapting the Stephenie Meyer novel Midnight Sun. For anyone unfamiliar with the novel, Meyer re-tells the entire story from the first Twilight book, but from Edward's point of view. Since Edward is a mind-reader, this opens up a lot of things the first book didn't show.

This is also darker than the original Twilight story, since Edward really was a "monster" and the "bad guy" that he warned Bella that he was. While she dismissed his comments, this book, and hopefully the Netflix series, will show that she was getting into something that could have proven deadly for her. While this new Twilight series sounds interesting, none of the movie's stars will be back for the Netflix series, and it will be animated, so expect something possibly dark and interesting from the franchise.
