While Waiting For More Scream 7 Updates, You Should Revisit The 2022 Reboot Now Streaming That Stars An Oscar-Winning Ghostface

Scream 7 is still many months away, meaning fans have time to rewatch the movie that revived the franchise in the modern era, especially after one of the reboot's killers just won an Oscar. The upcoming installment of the popular, renowned slasher film series has been in the works for years. After a plethora of behind-the-scenes problems (including the controversial firing of Scream star Melissa Barrera), the final cast and crew of Scream 7 assembled by 2025, two years after the sixth movie.

The cast and crew of Scream 7 began filming in January 2025 and production is expected to last until at least March, as the movie is scheduled to be released theatrically on February 27, 2026.
