Wilmette Nature Center Could Get a Makeover

The little-known North Shore preserve proposes new educational programs and a rehabbed pond.

The Wilmette Park District has proposed renovations to Keay Nature Learning Center, a 4.6-acre preserve with walking paths and a man-made pond. The plan, which awaits approval by the full park board, would add educational programs, repair the pond, rip out invasive plants, and add savannah natural areas.
