You'll Want This Animal Crossing Coffee Merchandise From The Nintendo Store
Nintendo is coming out with a new line of Animal Crossing-themed coffee merchandise that's sure to pique caffeine-fiend fans' interests. Coffee has long since been a major part of the Animal Crossing experience. First introduced in Wild World, the series' signature coffee shop - called The Roost - has since made an appearance in every mainline Animal Crossing game to date. It's perhaps best known as K.K. Slider's preferred venue, but it's also a great place to hang out and interact with your villagers.
And now, you can bring The Roost's chill vibes to your own morning cup of joe with a new Animal Crossing-themed coffee set. There's a ceramic drink set composed of a cup and a coaster, a wooden manual coffee grinder, and a glass container for storing your favorite roast. There's also an optional tea towel for handling hot carafes, and a set of Roost coasters that come with a storage tin. Each piece bears The Roost's logo, with a cartoon depiction of the mustachioed pigeon barista Brewster. They're available via the official Nintendo web store, or at brick-and-mortar Nintendo Stores.
The Roost Merchandise Is Perfect For Animal Crossing Fans
Café-Quality Coffee At Home
The Animal Crossing coffee set is surprisingly mature for a bit of merchandise based on what is arguably still a children's game. It exudes luxury, all dark wood, polished metal, thick glass, and white ceramic, and it's surprisingly well-priced for what it is. The table below includes every piece of the Animal Crossing coffee set currently listed for sale on Nintendo's website, including the optional tea towel and coasters, along with their costs in USD.
Item | Price |
|---|---|
Ceramic drink set | $24.99 |
Connoisseur coffee grinder | $39.99 |
Tea Time towel | $14.99 |
Coaster set with tin | 800 Nintendo Platinum Points |
That's right - you can get the coaster set at no additional cost by redeeming your Platinum Points, if you so desire. It's not available for monetary purchase. The bean jar isn't currently listed on Nintendo's website, but if I had to guess, it'll probably be priced in the $20 range.

Your Animal Crossing: New Horizons Island Will Transfer Easily To Nintendo Switch 2
Fans won't lose the hard work they put into their Animal Crossing: New Horizons islands when transferring their save file to the Nintendo Switch 2.
The Roost coffee set is also available at Nintendo's brick-and-mortar store in Rockefeller Plaza. It'll be on the shelves of its new San Francisco store in Union Square when it opens on May 15.
I Can't Wait To Bring Animal Crossing's Roost Home
Animal Crossing's Coffee Set Is Gorgeous & Comprehensive
Look, I fell off on New Horizons a long time ago. My New Leaf town is definitely languishing in my absence, somewhere on my forgotten DS that's still sitting in a drawer in my childhood home somewhere. But even I've fallen under the spell of the Animal Crossing coffee set. It's that perfect balance of cheesiness and quality, stealthy enough to fly under the radar as video game merch, while recognizable enough to
This is also a surprisingly comprehensive starter set for anyone who wants to get into the fancier side of coffee brewing. At the risk of sounding a little pretentious, I take coffee pretty seriously, and even I don't own a manual grinder or a glass bean storage jar. The only thing missing here is some kind of Brewster French press to actually brew up a cup.

Animal Crossing's Most Limiting Feature Is Something More Games Should Steal
One feature from Animal Crossing that could be seen as a limitation of the game is actually a huge improvement that I think other games should steal.
The Roost has quickly become an iconic part of the Animal Crossing series. Even though it's not super functional in New Horizons, it's just a fun place to hang out. It's always interesting to learn more about your favorite villagers in a new setting, especially one as cozy and inviting as The Roost. Nintendo's latest merch perfectly embodies that coziness, and I'd love to bring a piece of Animal Crossing into my real-life kitchen.
