12 Rabid Bats Found in August, Highest Number in Decade
A dozen rabid bats were found this August on sidewalks and in homes and public parks in Washington, bring the yearly count to 21.

According to the Washington State Department of Health, 21 rabid bats have been found in the state this year—including 12 in August alone, the most in a decade.
