Big Ed became a household name thanks to his romance with Rose Vega on Before the 90 Days season 4. Big Ed put mayonnaise in his hair and asked her to shave. After being crowned the 90 Day Fiancé villain, Big Ed chose to date Liz on The Single Lifeseason 1. Three years of highs and lows later, Big Ed called off his wedding with Liz in August 2023.
Liz revealed she was undergoing chemotherapy in December 2024. She’s confirmed she has cancer amid rumors that her new boyfriend Jayson Zuniga cheated on her.
Big Ed’s revealing that he has been sick for a long time in a concerning new video update. He looked exhausted as he filmed the video from the hospital. “So I’m at Mercy Hospital. I’ve a John Deere sweatshirt on and my Crocs that match anyway,” Big Ed said while pointing the camera at his green outfit as he sucked on a lollipop. He revealed that he was fighting bronchitis. He asked his fans to take care of any cold they could be having. “Don’t wait like I did and let it turn into something worse,” he added.

He has family in Arkansas and its why Big Ed shifted there from San Diego with Liz. However, no one accompanied Big Ed to the doctor despite his sickness. Liz completed 14 rounds of chemo and has lost a dramatic amount of weight due to her ill health.
