Now that the show has finally brought on an alum as a permanent judge, it should always have someone with that kind of experience on the panel. After 22 seasons, American Idol has an entire galaxy of stars who've competed on the show who would make fantastic judges. From now on, there should always be an American Idol alum on the judging panel, whether it's Carrie or some other superstar from the show.
