State Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) has authored a bill that would preserve scientific information “at risk of censorship or destruction by the federal government”—and protect federal employees who might get in trouble for disclosing such information. Senate Bill 51 is returning to the Senate for an additional vote before landing on Gov. Jerry Brown’s desk.
