Deal Reached in "Take a Hike" Controversy

Long Trail Brewing Co. and Burton finally come to a resolution in "Take a Hike" slogan fight.

Long Trail Brewing Co. recently sued Burton Corporation, claiming that Burton used the slogan “Take a Hike” on its apparel. Vermont’s 272-mile Long Trail was the inspiration for the brewery, which has been using the slogan since the 1990s; Burton claimed that it’s a common phrase. A few days after the suit was filed, the two groups agreed on a solution.
