Indiana Dunes Angling For "Night Sky" Designation

The International Dark-Sky Association has a basic requirement: people should be able to see the natural sky.

Only 55 parks around the work have been designated an International Dark Sky Park, according to the International Dark-Sky Association—and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore hopes to become one of the next. Supporters, which include several senators and representatives in the area, point how how important (and increasingly rare) it is to find a place far enough from light pollution.
