A 57-year-old Valley man drowned while trying to swim through a swirling pool of water known as the "toilet bowl."

A sign posted above a waterfall at Fossil Creek reads: Keep out of toilet bowl. Drowning hazard. But 57-year-old Marvin McClain of Peoria died while trying to swim in it this past Sunday night. It took a diver a half-hour to retrieve the body from the bowl.
