Marvel Rivals Confirms New Comic Run, Teasing the Fantastic Four's Spring Return

Marvel Rivals' success continues to inspire new Marvel content, and fans of the game and comics alike just received excellent news regarding future storytelling. Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic is set to receive six new issues; the series will introduce the Fantastic Four, possibly alongside other familiar Rivals champions. The Fantastic Four have already made a major impression in the game, and they'll undoubtedly do the same on the page.

As revealed by Marvel's official X account, more Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic issues – written by Paul Allor, with art by Luca Claretti – are coming this spring. The creative duo's first run explored the Marvel Rivals universe via heroes like Spider-Man, Peni Parker, Thor, Namor, and more as they saved the Tokyo 2099 timeline; this new run promises more of the same action and adventure.

The Fantastic Four are likely not the only new additions to the comic roster, but their inclusion continues the hype for their arrival in-game and all of the team's other upcoming MCU and comic projects.

In the Marvel Rivals universe, worlds combine and converge across the Multiverse, smashing together heroes from a variety of different timelines. They're forced to work together to complete their missions to save the world, mimicking the "team" dynamic present in the game, and putting together plenty of unlikely fan-favorite heroes. The first six issues had Hulk teaming up with the likes of Doctor Strange and Venom, while Captain America led the charge with Squirrel Girl, Jeff the Land Shark, and others. In total, Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic was a lighthearted look at plenty of different personalities.

The original Marvel Rivals issues contained inventive fights and humor, which will hopefully be the case for this new series, as the story continues to unfold in whatever fractured timeline ends up playing home to the Fantastic Four.

With Paul Allor and Luca Claretti remaining on as the creative team, the Fantastic Four and their currently unrevealed teammates will receive the same treatment. That is good news for comic fans and gamers alike, as they'll witness the Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, and the Thing team up with versions of heroes, or perhaps villains, they might never encounter otherwise. With the Fantastic Four inching closer to their big MCU debut, Marvel's is shining the spotlight on Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny in a huge way. The Infinity Comic is only one of several projects fans can follow, as they're set to have a four-issue miniseries, Fantastic Four: Fanfare, face off with Doom in the big "One World Under Doom" event, and more. There's no shortage of Fantastic Four content, but Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic is still a must-see, and readers can expect the team to usher that universe into its next chapter with some solid action, fun, and adventure.
