More Funding to Restore River Herring and Eel Habitat

New York governor Andrew Cuomo recently announced a $900,000-plus fund to improve the health of the Hudson River Estuary.

New York governor Andrew Cuomo said that $910,631 would be earmarked for several Hudson River Estuary projects, including restoring aquatic habitat for river herring and American eel by removing dams and replacing culverts. To boot, the changes should benefit trout and reduce localized flooding.
