Last Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, a series of 15 earthquakes shook the area just east of Spirit Lake near Mt. St. Helens. The strongest one was rated a 3.9, the biggest in that area since 1981. There were no injuries or serious damage in the aftermath of the series, which was felt from Portland to Puget Sound.
