While not the best among Centineo’s romcoms, The Perfect Date deserves a spot among his best films, delivering as a romantic comedy and on the timeless theme of self-discovery. Unlike other famous romcoms, Noah Centineo doesn’t play the love interest in The Perfect Date, instead playing its protagonist, whose entire focus is to make his goal to go to college at Yale a reality.

Netflix’s The Perfect Date has lower scores on review aggregators compared to Centineo’s other works, but it was nonetheless well-received by critics.

Brooks’ idea of an app to offer his services as a chaperone lets Centineo showcase his romcom lead talents throughout the film, but it’s unexpectedly finding himself by refusing his goals that sets his story apart. Netflix’s The Perfect Date has lower scores on review aggregators compared to Centineo’s other works, but it was nonetheless well-received by critics.

While having a happily-ever-after as romcoms do, The Perfect Date also doesn’t get its protagonist to achieve his previously established goals. Brooks’ choice to prioritize going to the college most in line with who he is instead of his original goal of Yale somewhat upends the viewers’ expectations, making The Perfect Date a perfectly enjoyable romcom to watch.

8 Black Adam

Centineo Portrays Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher

2022’s Black Adam might have been deemed a failure due to its critical reception and disappointing box office performance, but the superhero film still deserves a spot among Centineo’s best projects. While its pace could feel dragged at times, the heartwarming inability to execute a plan flawlessly of Centineo’s Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher proved him adorable and one of the few comic reliefs of Black Adam.

Its Rotten Tomatoes score of 39 percent among critics makes it difficult to let Black Adam be thought of as among Centineo’s best films. However, audiences still gave Black Adam a very high average score of 88 percent. Between Black Adam’s renewed success among its viewers once it debuted on streaming platforms and its entertaining, scenic fights showcasing heroes and villains fighting to the very end, the superhero film still deserves to be among Centineo’s best.

7 Charlie's Angels

Rebooting the franchise, the 2019 action-adventure film failed to bring in audiences, resulting in Charlie’s Angels’ box office flop. While its poor results and the critics’ lukewarm response are undeniable, 2019’s Charlie’s Angels still proved popular among audiences, and its Rotten Tomatoes audience score reflects that at 78 percent.

Despite the somewhat overused premise of having to flush out moles within the organization, Charlie’s Angels’ three leads shine, making it easy to understand why it’s a movie cherished by audiences. Noah Centineo plays a secondary role in Charlie’s Angels, appearing as Langston, Elena’s colleague and Jane’s love interest.

While not part of the main action, Centineo’s Langston steals the scene during Jane, Sabina and Elena’s infiltration into Brok’s headquarters and being taken hostage so that Elena would comply and modify Calisto, convincingly becoming one of the few reasons motivating the Angels in their fight against Brok and John who is still alive by Charlie’s Angels’ ending.

6 Good Trouble

Centineo Reprises His The Fosters Role, Jesus Adams Foster

A spinoff to The Fosters, Good Trouble followed Callie and Mariana Adams Foster in their new life in Los Angeles as a law clerk and a software engineer respectively. By focusing on Callie and Mariana’s adult lives, the drama Good Trouble greatly differs from its parent series, if nothing else for its atmosphere and the Adams-Fosters problems.

Centineo only appears twice as Mariana’s twin brother Jesus in Good Trouble, making him a much less central character compared to The Fosters. Still, despite its differences from the parent series, Good Trouble’s reception mirrors how The Fosters was well-received, with the drama maintaining a high Rotten Tomatoes audience score and a similarly high score among IMDb users.

5 XO, Kitty

Noah Centineo Cameos As Peter Kavinsky In Season 2

Spinoff TV show of the popular YA romcom trilogy To All The Boys, XO, Kitty follows Lara Jean’s younger sister Kitty in her bid to find out more about their late mother and love by traveling across the world to Seoul and enrolling in the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS).

Not overshadowing the show’s key storylines, Centineo’s Kavinsky cameo perfectly worked as a bridge between XO, Kitty and To All The Boys.

XO, Kitty’s best qualities are acknowledged by critics and audiences alike, with the teen dramedy earning Rotten Tomatoes scores of 80 and 62 percent respectively. While XO, Kitty season 1 focused on setting up Kitty’s life in Seoul, letting few characters from the To All The Boys franchise appear and only briefly, season 2 established continuity with a few central characters’ appearances.
