One Piece Has Some Wild Devil Fruits, And We Know Which We Need IRL

One Piece has so many creative Devil Fruit ideas that range from giving users typical abilities like control over the elements to the power of stretching and soul manipulation. Although Devil Fruit powers can get a little weird, even within the context of the story, some would be a boon to have in real life despite the restrictions surrounding water.

Although it might be catastrophic to lose the ability to swim in the world of One Piece, one could avoid the ocean or pools for an entire lifetime in the real world and reap all the benefits of a Devil Fruit's absurd capabilities. From casual advantages to gaining the strength to rule the world, the best Devil Fruits to have in the real world could truly reshape a person's entire life.

10 Ope Ope no Mi (Operation Fruit)

The Ope Ope no Mi can perform surgeries, cure diseases, and for a price, grant someone immortality. It’s not hard to see why this could be one of the greatest Devil Fruits to exist in real life, and it’s just as coveted in the One Piece world. Trafalgar D. Law's Operation Fruit is one of the only fruits to have its own five billion berries bounty, which is more than Law has himself.

If the fruit were available in real life, it would revolutionize medicine, allowing for painless operations and instant healing. No one would ever have to pay for hospital bills again, and the world would be a better place for it. However, it’s possible the fruit would become a hot commodity like it is in One Piece and cause catastrophe over its ownership, ultimately causing society more harm than good. Not to mention, its ability to have domain over a finite amount of space assures whoever has the fruit could rob or develop some offensive techniques with ease.

9 Nikyu Nikyu no Mi (Paw-Paw Fruit)

The Nikyu Nikyu no Mi is a Paramecia type that can repeal anything it comes in contact with, including pain, and fatigue, and even allows users to travel vast distances in an instant. The ability belongs to Bartholomew Kuma, who uses the fruit for offensive attacks and fast travel, but also utilizes it to cure the elders of his small town where he served as priest. The result is that the Paw Paw Fruit is one of One Piece's strongest Devil Fruits.

Unlike the Ope Ope no Mi, this would completely revolutionize not just the medical world, but air travel as well. The Paw Paw Fruit can relieve stress instantly, teleport people to vacation destinations, and heal injuries immediately. It’s a ridiculously valuable fruit, indicated by being one of two fruits used as prizes during the Native Hunting Competition that took place on God’s Valley alongside Kaidou’s Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu.

8 Pika Pika no Mi (Glint-Glint Fruit)

If one had the Pike Pike no Mi, that would have the ability to move and turn into light, an energy source with force and the ability to travel quicker than most things in the universe. The Glint Glint Fruit allows users to fire laser beams and travel at the speed of light, making it similar to the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi in terms of speed and offense. However, if the Logia ability could be bottled and used as fuel for technology, it could be a game changer in the race for fuel and natural resources.

Solar power could potentially rule the world, and although commuting won’t be as fast for the rest of the populous, it could be used to help people travel. Although these are the basic abilities of the fruit, Borsalino Kizaru was able to master them to the extent that he could make copies of himself or create swords, showing light has infinite possibilities of usage.

7 Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix (Phoenix Fruit)

Marco of the Whitebeard Pirates possesses the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, a Mythical Zoan and the first of its kind introduced in the series. While the Paw-Paw and Operation Fruits offer healing abilities, the Phoenix Fruit is entirely centered on regeneration. It grants its user extraordinary healing powers, allowing for near-instant recovery and enhanced durability. As a Zoan-type fruit, it also enables transformation into a majestic phoenix, providing the ability to fly, making it an invaluable asset for rescue operations.

This fruit is considered one of the most overpowered in the series, and it’d make life significantly easier for anyone who possesses it. In its Hybrid form, the user can manifest wings and talons, adding a potent offensive edge to their abilities. Being able to fly around would be fun in real life, and one could be as helpful or reckless as possible since it allows users to heal from nearly any injury.

6 Hana Hana no Mi (Flower-Flower Fruit)

The Hana Hana no Mi, possessed by Nico Robin, gives its users the power to sprout extra limbs anywhere. This would not only come in handy when an extra arm or two is needed for heavy lifting—it can also serve as a surveillance tool by placing eyes and ears in strategic locations. Robin has even used it for stealthy assassination techniques, making it an invaluable skill for espionage.

In everyday life, its sheer multitasking potential earns it a spot on this list. It allows users to reach inaccessible places with ease, and when awakened, the Flower-Flower Fruit can even generate a full-body clone or an oversized version of the user, further expanding its versatility. Somebody could get their day done in half the time or even live a double life if the power can be used for long periods.

5 Soru Soru no Mi (Soul-Soul Fruit)

Big Mom uses Armament Haki on her hands

Big Mom’s Soru Soru no Mi is a gaming-changing fruit that lets users manipulate souls, bring objects to life, and most importantly, extend one's lifespan. It’s one of the most abstract Devil Fruit’s in the series, as it’s hard to quantify or know all of its limits. Its ability to bring things to life has been extrapolated to bring suns and clouds to life, create entire sentient civilizations, and take years off of someone’s existence.

It could be used in real life to communicate with computers that contain sensitive information, create nations, and even topple governments if Big Mom had her way. She could lead the inevitable artificial intelligence war with just a wave of her finger by bringing technology to life, with no coding skills needed. Or if ambitions are less nefarious, one could at least create their own best friend.

4 Mero Mero no Mi (Love-Love Fruit)

The Mero Mero no Mi could be very dangerous in the wrong hands, as it allows people to charm and paralyze others based on their own beauty. If someone finds the user to be even slightly cute, they turn to stone. This could be abused to lie, cheat, and steal anything in the world. It could be used to settle disputes in any favor and bring the strongest figures around the globe to their knees with just a single gesture.

Boa Hancock happens to be the most beautiful woman in the world of One Piece, making the Love-Love fruit devastating in her possession. However, if someone like Blackbeard were to steal it for themselves, it probably would be less fun and less effective, making it a risky fruit if beauty standards aren’t met.

3 Hie Hie no Mi (Ice-Ice Fruit)

Having the ability to generate, control, and become ice would make an elemental god out of anybody, and if somebody had it in real life, it would take great responsibility to wield. One could cure the planet with climate control or bring it to ruin with the second coming of the ice age. Catastrophes like sunken ships, hurricane season, and floods could be a thing of the past if an Ice Ice Fruit user were dedicated enough. The very future of the planet could be decided based on this ability.

Or one could live like Aokiji and become a chill person without much worry about anything. If it’s hot, the Hie Hie no Mi can cool its user instantly. And if it's cold outside, there’s still nothing to be concerned about because very few things are colder than ice.

2 Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble-Rumble Fruit)

Enel from One Piece

Electricity runs the world, and with the Goro Goro no Mi, one could live Enel’s lifelong dream as ruler without having to visit the Moon. The Rumble Rumble Fruit is a Logia type that grants the power of electricity, including the ability to generate and control lightning.

Not only could you cause chaos by choosing what region of the globe has power and which doesn’t, but users ultimately become a Greek God like Zeus. If a smartphone is mere seconds away from dying, one zap and it could charge instantly. Not only does this mean the element can be controlled, but one can even teleport as rapidly as lightning etches through the sky. One could be everywhere at once with this ability and be able to control the world with efficiency the way Enel ruled the small island of Skypeia.

1 Raki Raki no Mi (Luck-Luck Fruit)

Baccarat in One Piece Film: Gold

The Raki Raki no Mi allows users to steal someone else's luck with a touch, making the user very lucky while the victim becomes extremely unlucky. Although this ability isn’t as earth-shattering or lifesaving, it’s one of the most fun fruits if one is attempting to live a rich and lavish life.

Easily become a millionaire in Las Vegas and avoid the so-called mob thanks to good fortune alone. Be an ace on Wall Street and know just when to buy or sell. Go to seedy underground bars and become a legend at Russian Roulette, the world is truly an oyster with the Luck-Luck Fruit. At the very least if someone else gets the Goro Goro no Mi or the Hie Hie no Mi and decides to try and end the world, if the user theoretically touched enough people, may be one of the only few to survive the devastation.
