Phineas And Ferb Revival Series Gets The Most Fitting Release Window On Disney+

The long-awaited Phineas and Ferb revival finally has a release window, and it couldn't be more perfect. The beloved Disney series, which originally aired from 2007 to 2015, follows stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher as they embark on extraordinary adventures during their summer vacation, much to the frustration of their older sister Candace. Created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, the animated show was a massive success, known for its clever writing, fourth-wall-breaking humor, and original songs (such as "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" and "S.I.M.P. (Squirrels in My Pants)").

According to Variety, Phineas and Ferb will return for another 104 days of vacation this summer on Disney Channel and Disney+, marking the highly anticipated return of the hit animated series. The Phineas and Ferb revival, consisting of 40 episodes split into two seasons, sees the return of Povenmire and Marsh, as well as its original voice cast. Read the synopsis below:

The new season of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ will follow the inventive stepbrothers as they tackle another 104 days of summer. Candace is more determined than ever to finally bust her little brothers while their pet platypus, Perry, continues to lead a double life as the suave Agent P, whose sole mission is to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz from taking over the Tri-State area.

What The Release Window For Phineas And Ferb Means

Phineas And Ferb Are Gonna Do It All

In 2015, Phineas and Ferb concluded with the episode "Last Day of Summer." The season 4 finale saw Phineas and Ferb experiencing a wild time-loop adventure, ultimately ending with a heartfelt farewell to the audience after a ridiculous myriad of summer escapades. Unlike other TV show revivals that attempt to modernize their stories (Fuller House), Phineas and Ferb season 5 promises to be a faithful return to form. The stepbrothers will continue to embark on wild schemes that Candace always fails to bust, while Perry the Platypus battles the ever-incompetent Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Despite only running for four seasons, the show left a massive cultural impact, continuing through feature films (Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe), video games, and even attractions at Disney theme parks. One of the most exciting aspects of the revival is the return of the original cast. Vincent Martella (Phineas), Povenmire (Doofenshmirtz), Ashley Tisdale (Candace), Marsh (Major Monogram), Dee Bradley Baker (Perry), Caroline Rhea (Linda), and Alyson Stoner (Isabella) will all reprise their roles. Additionally, David Errigo Jr. will continue voicing Ferb, a role he took over from Thomas Brodie-Sangster in 2015.
