Pokémon TCG Pocket Reveals Tons of New Space-Time Smackdown Cards
A new datamine has revealed tons of new cards from the upcoming Space-Time Smackdown set for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Later this week, Pokémon TCG Pocket will roll out Space-Time Smackdown, a new expansion set for the game that adds Pokémon first seen in the Sinnoh region. The set notably adds Pokémon Tool cards, along with new cards that almost certainly will wind up at the center of some very powerful decks. While we likely won't know the full scope of cards until the app is updated, a ton of new cards just hit the Internet thanks to a new leak.
The new cards popped up on Reddit overnight and show several new cards from the set, including our first look at several key Pokémon tools. Also revealed were the new Togekiss and Garchomp cards, both of which could become centerpieces in new decks. The leak also included several new alternate art and full art cards, including looks at Rotom and Staraptor's alternate art cards. What Cards Should Players Be Chasing In Space-Time Smackdown?
Togekiss and Pokémon Tools Could Be Very Potent Cards In New Set
While many of the Pokémon ex cards could be major pieces in new decks, one card that stands out is Togekiss. While Togekiss is a Stage 2 Pokémon, its Overdrive Smash does 120 damage if used two turns in a row. While there are ways of counteracting this (such as with Sabrina), players can deal up to 170 damage with Togekiss when combined with the Cynthia Supporter card. That could have a major impact, as it would one-shot all but a couple of Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
The various Pokémon Tools cards in the leak also have some major potential. The Giant Cape adds 20 HP to the Pokémon card it's attached to, which can add a bit of survivability against powerhouses like Mewtwo ex or Charizard ex. Meanwhile, the Rocky Helmet card deals 20 damage whenever the Pokémon that it's attached to is attacked. That effect can stack with Druddigon's ability, which would turn Druddigon into an even better wall to set up decks that usually take time to get going.

These New Cards Are Already Growing The Game
These leaks should have Pokémon TCG Pocket fans excited about the future. The new cards already have players deckcrafting and that's before any other cards have been revealed in the new set. I'm also quite excited to see the new alternate art cards, as Rotom, Bidoof, and Staraptor all have magnificent new cards.
If those less meta-relevant cards have great new cards, just imagine how Palkia and Dialga's new immersive art cards will look. I can't wait for Pokémon TCG Pocket's next set to come out. Friday can't get here fast enough.
