“I’ve got to survive. If I’m out of options, I’m dead, so I’ve got to always come up with new options and possibilities for what can I do.” So said Shuei Kato, who was rescued on 14er Missouri Mountain after being lost for three days—in whiteout conditions, no map or compass, and just enough food for a day hike.
