Study Ranks AZ Low In Management of Public Lands

The non-profit Center for Western Priorities placed Arizona second-lowest in its scorecard of public lands, recreation, and conservation.

The Center for Western Priorities released a report that ranked eight Western states in terms of outdoor recreation, access to public lands, responsible energy development, and wildlife conservation. Arizona finished second-to-last overall, with average scores in outdoor recreation and low scores in access to public lands and responsible energy.
