Trail Runner Sets New FKT at Grand Canyon

Flagstaff nurse and runner Time Freriks notched the fastest known time, or FKT, on the Grand Canyon’s 21-mile Rim to Rim route (running from the North Rim to the South Rim) on October 1, pulling off the feat in less than two hours, 40 minutes. This Las Vegas Review-Journal story details Freriks’s run as well as several other recent FKTs, from climbing Yosemite’s El Cap to running the John Muir Trail.
