What Happened To Ashley Marti After Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3?
Ashley Marti ended her appearance on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 as one of the most controversial stews ever. Once Ashley joined the series, she spent her first weeks chasing after First Mate Gary King until she hooked up with him while he was highly intoxicated. However, Ashley made her first bad impression when Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher promoted Gabriela Barragan as the second stew instead of Ashley. Still, the former reality star has not kept a low profile since leaving Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3, and it's time to revisit the Third Stew.
Ashley’s refusal to appear at the BDSY reunion caused a lot of uproar between fans and her former cast mates, as most expected her to address her controversial moments, which were pivotal throughout the season. Although Ashley addressed her absence following the reunion, she only blamed the show’s editing for how she was portrayed, adding that it would prevent her from telling her side of the story. However, BDSY fans didn’t buy her excuse and accused Ashley of feeling ashamed of her behavior during the season. Luckily, she's since moved on.
Ashley Posts Lots Of Bikini Pics On Instagram
Her Pictures Have Purpose
Ashley seems to be living her best life after her appearance on BDSY. The alum spent weeks after the finale traveling around Europe while keeping her fans updated with regular posts on her Instagram. Ignoring the many controversies that trailed her after the series, such as Ashley's love triangle with Daisy and Gary, she has taken trips worldwide, including starting a safari travel service in Africa. Wherever Ashley goes, it's always somewhere she can sport a new bikini.
Ashley's bikini photos do serve a business purpose for her. The now-26-year-old steers her 106,000 Instagram followers to her adult content page on OnlyFans. She also has CashApp and Venmo links for those fans who want to send her money. Ashley has catapulted her adult career as the result of her time with Bravo's Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4. Ashley boasts herself as successful from her adult career after reality TV, and she does appear to have any shame in her game.
Ashley Will Not Be Returning To Below Deck Sailing Yacht
Ashley Trash-Talked The Show
The BDSY alum is making more money than ever after she started her OnlyFans account. Ashley charges her subscribers $12 per month for access to exclusive content. She also used the opportunity to slam Bravo for the inadequate pay she received for starring in the reality series and claims she made more money from just a few hours on OnlyFans than she did from filming for six weeks for BDSY season 3. For this and many other reasons, there's no way Ashley would return to BDSY after being heavily disliked and making more money than ever.
The Bravo network also does not take kindly to cast members from the Below Deck franchise who speak badly about the show and their pay.
Former returning First Officer Eddie Lucas famously spoke about about the low pay for being on the show, as did Chef Rachel Hargrove. Neither of them have been invited back to the franchise, and Ashley's bold blast will likely not earn her a return invitation.
Ashley Launched Her Own Business
She Also Does Brand Partnerships
In August 2023, Ashley launched a new Instagram page, @bush.bound.babe, dedicated to her safari trips to Africa, and her hopes of becoming a staff lodge photographer.
"it is a dream of mine to eventually be a resident photographer at a lodge in one of my favorite places!"
Her page showcases her photographs from different safaris she's been in on in different parts of Africa. Outside of her ambition to make Africa a larger part of her life in a professional way, Ashley promotes various products on her Instagram page, solidifying her intentions of being an influencer.
Ashley has moved on to bigger and better things. Now, she's focused on work and her budding career as an OF model, social media influencer, and safari travel guru. While becoming a reality star didn't work out, Ashley at least has a new following that has allowed her to further her career.
What Is Ashley Up To Since Leaving The Show?
She's Been Traveling More
Ashley was quite the presence on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but since then, she's been a little more low-key despite her more outgoing career choices. Ashley became an OF creator shortly after appearing on the show; however, she has since made that her side gig, seemingly. Ashley is more of a dedicated wildlife photographer, and her photographs are quite striking. Working as a content creator and a photographer has helped Ashley become a success, unlike her work as a Stew in the yachting industry. Now, Ashley travels for pleasure, not just work.
From May to June 2024, Ashley is bopping around from country to country in Europe. On May 30, 2024, she posted a series of photos from her time in Ireland, and she looked like she had an amazing time. Ashley got to shuck some oysters, take in the scenic views Ireland has to offer, and even met some local dogs. Then, on June 5, 2024, Ashley shared another carousel of photos from her time in Portugal. She got to visit some beautiful areas of the country and even got to enjoy a wine tour there.
Overall, Ashley has been doing better than ever since leaving Below Deck Sailing Yacht. She travels more for fun and has a career she truly enjoys. While fans will likely never see Ashley on the famous Bravo series again, she could return to TV again in another capacity if she wants to.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht is available to stream on Peacock.
